It is important to understand that even being in a Latin environment, DIVERSITY in ALL the sense of the word is very important, ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK!
The bars are SPOTLESS CLEAN.
The renewal that they gave to friends is a super congratulations, and the change of staff was also very necessary
You breathe freshness and finally a New York air!
Congratulations, I hope that all these changes attract the new generations who were choosing to go to other places.

I love this place and I've been there a few times. Service is excellent and I even have my favorite waiter ? but tbh the drinks are awfully water down ???. I was just there this past Friday and I was practically drinking water with a splash of lime and syrup that they called a Margarita ?. I decided to drink beer instead. Nevertheless, the music, the vibe, service, everything else is excellent ??.
As a long time customer of Friends Tavern and now Viva as well, I must state that these establishments are safe, clean and the service for the most part is great. However the drinks are awful. This is not a one time occurrence. Happy hour goes from $6 to $10 after 10 pm. I realize everything has increased since covid, however please give me a decent drink. I had one drink in Friends and two in Viva last night. All exactly the same. Either watered down alcohol or a miserly pour. It's basically a glass of ice. Even the Margheritas, although tasty have little to no alcohol. I go to other establishments and restaurants and when you order a drink you get a real drink. I'm willing to pay whatever the price is but I do not wish to feel that I'm being taken advantaged of. We all work hard for our money, and for 6, 8, or 10 dollars I expect a quality drink. Something has to change. Perhaps the owners and management don't care because people will show up no matter what. The drink situation is a running joke among many, and some of my friends don't visit your bars any more for this reason. Please fix this, you're in the liquor selling business! It's not always about the bottom line.

This place is so horrible I was walking with out my shoes and the security told me to put my shoes on so i can go in then the other security said I couldn’t go in then I was like why he was like because I’m to drunk true but I’m really much alert and know what I’m doing so in the mist of going back and forth the other security called me a HE I’ve never been so disrespectful by a place that is so LGBTQ friendly.

The vibe was good, the dj was great, THE DRINKS were water down. I bought 4 drinks last night and i barely got a buzz. I even had to get a long island iced tea to see if i could get any type of drunk and nothing. The atmosphere was great, good vibes, but the drinks are a no. We ended up leaving early.
