This place is located above northern blvd. It is a hidden gem. The food is authentic Szechuan. The place is small, but the flavor from the food is big! They give you a pitcher of water when you sit down along with some mildly spicy roasted peanuts. I had to consciously stop myself from eating it. We asked the waitress for some recommendation and we were there to try a lot of stuff. She stopped us from ordering after three dishes and explained to us the dishes are big and that we won’t be able to finish. We insisted on ordering, more on that later. The waitress also ask if we can handle spice we told her to ask the chef to take it easy on us. The first thing that came was the kidney dish. So tender and flavorful and mildly spicy. Tip for eating, you should eat the kidney with the veggies as it covers up the gamy taste if you eat it alone sometimes. Learned that from wife. Second dish was the cold noodles. It had a vinegar taste which I’m usually not a fan of. But again my mistake for not mixing it. After a mix it was a lot better. The next dish that came was the free range chicken. Honestly I didn’t think too much of a chicken dish when it was recommended to us. I instantly conjured up images of some dry chicken breast dish. This was far from that. It was chicken that had been lightly fried and skin on. So tasty. My favorite dish because it was such a surprise. So good! The fourth dish that came was the duck blood. It didn’t disappoint as duck blood is so silky unlike pork blood which is more sandy. The duck blood is a good dish to clear your pallet as the chicken and kidney dish is so intense in flavor. At this point the chef came out and we struck up a conversation with him. He told us we should eat the kidney dish before it get cold as it is best hot. He also said he didn’t put some spicy oil on it because we are not from the region and it would have been too spicy for most. But the flavor would be even better with it. Need to try it next time. The conversation was light and informative and he then asked if we still wanted the 5th dish. At this point we were getting full and asked if we could cancel it. He said not a problem. It was the reason he came and talked to us and didn’t want us to over order. So nice. I even had an incident where the chicken I grabbed with my chopstick slipped out and tried to get away even after cooked. Lastly when we asked for the check the waitress brought out a dessert on the house. It was a great pallet cleanser. Highly recommend this place. A hidden gem since we don’t normally go above the northern boulevard. Will definitely revisit.

I won’t go there again. The service is quite attentive, but what about the taste? I advise the boss to hire a chef. The taste can only be said to be good at cooking. The taste makes me feel like I can open a restaurant. I really can’t read reviews.

Yum, yum, yum! After hearing about this restaurant for a long time, I was afraid of queuing and chose a rainy day to eat there. As a result, there were no people. We were the first table. Not long after we arrived, we saw the boss carrying fish and vegetables freshly bought from the market, so we decided to order fish for the four of us. I personally ordered four dishes and the Chongqing people were very satisfied.1. Yanwu fish, the signature fish? The fish was very delicious and very tender. The boss came out and apologized to us and said that today's fish was too small, but we all thought it was okay. My friend who was traveling with me also said that it was the freshest fish that I had eaten in the United States. It had no peculiar smell, was very fresh, and didn't even have any scales. The boss said that he came back. I also cleaned the fish scales myself, so it’s very clean.2. The stir-fried yellow beef is also delicious, spicy, spicy and tasty. It goes very well with rice. It’s made with green peppercorns!3. Husband and wife beef slices are delicious. They look freshly mixed. They are completely different from other places. There are many different kinds of offal. Everyone loves them.4. I have never eaten this dish in Chongqing, but when I asked the boss what it was, he recommended it and said that it was very suitable for the other dishes we ordered. It really tasted very comfortable. The mustard greens and potatoes were added to the soup, which was a bit bitter and very suitable. Serve after eating spicy foodIt was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures... I only took a picture of the stir-fried yellow beefI was probably the only customer that day. When the boss saw that I was from Chongqing, he chatted with us and gave us a bottle of beer.I saw a lot of people who gave it one star, saying they didn’t open a store or something like that. And at the same time, there were a lot of similar comments? I don’t really understand... My experience was very good. If you want to eat freshly baked authentic Sichuan food, I will come back in the future.

This place is on fire! I meat literally. If you are a lovers for authentic Sichuan style Chinese cuisine, then you should come here and have your spice tolerance level tested. Every one of our group of 6 enjoyed the food so much! The crazy fried pig kidney is my personal favorite and the pig knuckle soup( probably the only thing that’s not spicy) is also phenomenon. If you are familiar with Sichuan cuisine then you can just order without an menu since most of the regular dishes such as Mapo tofu, Lazi chicken, Chili oil boiled beef are all top notch. I personally just enjoy the food so much that I forgot to take pictures. Will share pics on the next visit.
Highly recommend the crispy pork! Compared with his family, the small crispy meat of other families is fried and wrapped in flour. Then I strongly recommend the bullfrog, which is very fresh and tender, with a domestic taste!
