This restaurant is fantastic! The food, the drinks and the vibes are so fun. Shoutout to Juan for hooking us up at the bar. He made custom cocktails for my friend and I based on our preferences and they were genuinely the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Thank you and can’t wait to frequent this spot ?

The environment and the interior is pretty good. The people here are also very friendly. But the music is too loud to have a proper conversation. I need to yell so my friend can hear me.The salt and pepper prawn is nice.Dont recommend the angus beef noodle the soup is artificial flavor and tastes like adding lots of MSG.

Atmosphere/vibe was nice and drinks were great, but the food was terrible as my friend and I got extreme food poisoning the next day.

Good vibes , great service and even better food! The tebasaki wings and chicken fried rice are a must when coming here. Definitely my new favorite spot to go to in Queens!

The food was good. It wasn't anything special and I don't think I would go back, but everything we had was fine to good. Atmosphere was a hard no for me. Blasting techno is not something I ever want while I eat. If you do, then this is the place for you! Everyone there was super nice and the service was great. Only issue is they have a lager on the menu but it was actually a saison, which is a huge difference, so don't order the lager unless you like wheat beers.

I've been wanting to try this place out! Finally I did. I thought they're closed on Sundays, good thing I called and found out that they open at 5pm. My suggestion is to call to check their hours since it's a new establishment and their website's not quite updated yet. Anyway, we weren't disappointed at all!!! The first thing you're gonna notice of course is the ambiance. The interior looks very elegant so it kinda looks intimidating and you would assume that the prices will be unreasonable. But it definitely is very reasonable. It ranges from $20-$30 for the main entree which is pretty standard in Astoria and the serving is also quite generous, a place can be shareable for 2. My friend and I ordered the Salt and pepper tiger prawns and the Beijing chicken plus a portion of kimchee fried rice. The fried rice only costs $9 and our wonderful server offered to split it into 2 plates which is very nice. The food was really flavorful and balanced! It's not like typical Asian food that's overly salty or overly saucy. It was just perfect! Lastly we ordered the Ube cheesecake which is OMG!! freaking fire!! On top of this, I am very impressed by the service! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm welcome from Nadia, she sat us on a table immediately, Our server Neftali was very polite, not pushy at all (would always check on us but not in a timely manner) Other servers/ bussers would also touch our tables from time to time but it's not in a way that it's very confusing who's really taking care of us. Pretty much everyone is very accomodating and friendly. I love trying out places especially here in Astoria. I texted all my friends already to try this new gem in Astoria, I'm writing this review not only to help out a new business like Zen but because me and my friend really had a wonderful experience. Perfect 10!!

My girlfriend and I decided to check out this new restaurant in Astoria which we were recommended by some friends. We went on a rainy Wednesday night. The ambiance was dimly lit, they were playing a variety of really good house music and the space was just about empty(we got there at 9pm). Our server was very attentive, she asked us if we needed help or recommendations for both food and cocktails which was helpful and accommodating, although we are creatures of habit and stick to things we know or like (for the most part). I got the mezcal drink with chili and my girlfriend got the Zentini (which was supposed to resemble something similar to a lychee martini but we thought it was more on the grapefruit-y side) We got a miso soup appetizer which was a surprisingly large portion for the price, also very good and super hot (the best way to enjoy it!) We also got the Crispy Sushi (i think that’s what it was called) for starters. This dish was interesting, it definitely reminded me of a rendition of crispy tuna or salmon, it had tuna, shrimp and salmon on each piece (separate) and then one with avocado - all topped with caviar ?! My only off set with this is that I wished the sauce was more-so along the lines of spicy mayo. For entrees we order the Lo mein with chicken and a side order of stir-fried vegetables. The Lo mein was a VERY large portion, we ended up splitting it as our entree with the side of vegetables. For dessert, we had the lychee-mango (forget the actual name), it was unique and had a variation of taste profiles. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and everything ran smoothly with great quality for the prices, too!

I decided to celebrate my birthday with a group of 10 and I must say it was such a great decision! Zen in Astoria made my birthday so special, staff and management were super attentive, friendly, gave amazing service throughout the whole dinner. I’m a big cocktail girl and I must say for a restaurant that just recently opened the cocktails and food were sooooo good! To top it off the decor and aesthetic was gorgeous. Zen will definitely be seeing my face often!

The experience was amazing great staff very accommodating! The general manager checked in on our table often and was such pleasant conversation. The food was absolutely amazing and very well presented. My friends and I will absolutely be coming back and trying everything we couldn’t eat the first time off the menu!
