I had heard good things but was underwhelmed with my meal. I got a creamy garlic pasta with tomatoes and spinach over linguini you could add chicken or shrimp for extra . I chose shrimp. It was not fresh . It was 5 small precooked chewy pieces with the tails still on and the sauce was not creamy it was watery. I was also disappointed that it came with no garlic toast/ bread.

Had the poutine with a turkey bourbon gravy and cheese curds that was quite delicious and the pork chops with mashed potatoes and a bourbon sauce was out of this world.

Wow,, all I can say is the food is not good at all, I've had better food at a ballgame. My child got a 12" pizza,,, I was thinking it would be a fresh hand tossed pie..nope,, it was most likely a frozen red baron pizza, no exaggeration.. it was a $20.00 pie I could of bought at a supermarket in the frozen food aisle for $5.00. I had the chicken parm, no taste chicken with sauce that was bland, (think sauce you get at a high school cafeteria). I should have known walking in the tables and chairs looked like they were purchased from a yard sale. Oh well,, I am scratching this one off the list...never again.

Not allergy friendly! We stopped in last night for dinner with a friend and her son. Very clearly advised the server of her son's allergy to egg and after checking with the kitchen was advised that the gluten free crust would be safe for him to eat. After leaving the restaurant he became ill and upon calling back we were told the gluten free crust contained egg whites and he ended up in the ER. Overall, my portobello sandwich was good and my son liked his pizza but please just be careful if you have any allergies in your party.

Carl and his wonderful staff catered a delicious party for me. Everyone raved about the food (heavy hors d'oeuvres) for days afterwards!

We had the opportunity to try Sans Souci under it's new ownership and wow what an experience. We walked into the dining room and were immediately struck by the minimal use of air conditioning. The hostess told us to seat ourselves. We waited several minutes for menus. When we finally fought our way through the diner inspired menu, we placed our orders. While we waited we were subjected to way too loud 1950''s music which impaired our ability to talk to each other while we perspired. When our entrees arrived, the fiasco continued. I ordered the Lobster roll, which had come with about two tablespoons of finely chopped lobster in a roll who's size overwhelmed the tiny serving of lobster it contained. Next was a burger with swiss cheese that tasted like it was spiced with lighter fluid. Finally, we had a grilled chicken sandwich with sauteed onions. The sandwich was described to me as eating an unseasoned hockey puck. I watched as our guest made several attempts to deconstruct and reconstruct the sandwich. Eventually, she gave up and ate what she could of the bacon and mushrooms. We washed all of this down in our warm, ice-free sodas. The one shining star of the meal were the French fries, which arrived hot, salty and delicious. They were the only satisfying part of the meal. I don't imagine that we will be returning to the Sans Souci. .

Sans Souci has been a local mainstay for years. When the owners closed a few years ago, it left a huge gap, and since then a new and excellent restaurant has emerged in its place. They are sensitive to food allergies, which we appreciate. We picked up a few pizzas ( fortunately, because they were at capacity) and were delighted. So happy that they are there !

Great, unique location, and good beer and wine selection. Service was decent, and the pizza we ordered was okay but not fabulous.

The new management has done a great job with this restaurant. The food was great - much better than the average food you find in the restaurants on the lake. The atmosphere was very lively and seemed to be mostly locals and summer lake residents. Very happy to have this down the street.
