It's closed permanently effective immediately as of a couple days ago. If you want really good barbecue, go to Memphis King in Albany.

This place has the worst hours they are barely open and when they are open they close are the earliest times. I have driven here to eat at a few different times on different days and it is always closed. The food is excellent but the hours are horrible.

Oh. My. Lawd. If you think there is better BBQ in a 1,000 mile radius of this place… you’re living a lie. Ribs? Fantastic. Brisket? Phenomenal. Pulled pork? Just slap me with it and I’ll still give 5 stars. Try the Burnt End Sloppy Rob and I’ll high five you when I see you in heaven.
Great atmosphere. Prices are pretty high here, but then I guess it depends on what you get. My son got a brisket 'platter' that came with a single slice of meat. And the sides are really small. Actually went back up to the counter to make sure he had received his whole order, which he was informed that he indeed had. What little he had (and everyone else's food) did tase great though..

We were passing through around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and hadn’t yet had lunch. We saw the sign on the building and decided to stop in since we’re both into BBQ. Interesting setting and atmosphere. Picnic tables on covered platform reminded me of summer camp. Service was pretty quick and friendly. Partner and I both had the double platter of ribs and pulled pork. Both good. Sizable portions. Had enough left for another large meal at home. Interesting flavor of the baked bean side. Two interesting sauces on the tables. In retrospect I should have checked on whether we could buy some of the sauces to take home. Despite previously asserting that I’m okay with any style of coleslaw, I thought that the coleslaw was a bit too dry, al dente, thick short uniform pieces. But you might like it yourself. Partner was sad that brisket wasn’t available, nor cornbread. Menu seemed limited. Maybe a bad day or bad timing? Paid about $60 for the two platters, sides, and cans of sodas. I’m curious about the many enthusiastic and glowing reviews here. Maybe I missed something. Myself, I thought it was “okay”.

We ended our summer vacation with a delicious lunch at the Streaking Moose. The food was delicious, we highly recommend the brisket quesadilla, beer cheese nachos and pulled pork with Mac n cheese. The conversation with Rob and his wife was just as good as the food. We look forward to next season and wherever the pop up over the winter!

Showed up for dinner at 530pm and they were out of brisket, ribs, and chicken. That’s 3/4 of their menu.
Everything we had was outstanding. Ribs including the rub were totally on point. Burnt ends melted in your mouth. Brisket cheese steak so good. Got there early for lunch and the owners let us sit down and order drinks. A great lunch. Can't wait to go back.

It’s not fair that we can only give 5 stars, we would give 10 stars if we could. Everything about Streaking Moose BBQ is EXCELLENT! The wonderful location overlooking the lush landscape is so relaxing, the warm and accommodating owners are extremely friendly, the chic and rustic atmosphere is comfortable. But the food…the food is just AMAZING!! Flavorful, generous portions, well priced…we can’t wait to go back! You’re going to love it!!!!!
