Not recommended to eat in. Dreary dull lighting and oppressive atmosphere and not alcohol. But the chicken balti is amazing as are many other dishes. Seems expensive but it lasts for days!
I lived in Jackson Heights, Queens for years which is known as 'the' place to go for Indian food in NYC. I knew some Manhattan residents who would come to this Queens neighborhood specifically for the authentic Indian food. I relocated to this area years ago, and have been coming to Red Hook Curry House for as long as I can remember. I have never, ever, had a bad meal here. Excellent. Fresh, well served. We go there often and it is consistent and delicious. The lamb korma, Tikka masala, shrimp biryani, salmon tandoori, are all so good. And if you can't finish, they give you rice in the take away box so that you have some for your leftovers.
