I have been excited to try Son of Egg for some time. My group had the fried wings with garlic soy, bulgogi burger, tornado potato and bulgogi bowl with Kim chi. We had milk tea with cherry blossom Crystal boba. It was everything we hoped for. The staff helpful and service excellent. I even took home kim chi and radishes. It was delicious. I cant wait to go back and try other dishes. I gave 4 star to atmosphere because it is a smaller mom and pop type stop, not fancy, but everything I expected.

I absolutely love Som of Egg. I used to buy the “signature gimme kimchi” At Green Grocer, and the cashier told me that there was a physical location I could check out for the kimchi. I finally was able to check out the restaurant and oh my goodness. The entire staff was amazing, the kimchi is cheaper than buying it at Green Grocer or Honest Weight. I tried the bulgogi beef bowl and crispy chicken bowl and 10/10.
I also want to talk more about the kimchi. The signature gimme kimchi is by far the best kimchi I have ever had in my entire life. I have tried numerous brands kimchi and nothing lives up to Son of Egg. I am so sad because I will be leaving NY soon and I hope I can become friends with the owner so they can ship me bottles of the kimchi, it truly is that good.
This restaurant truly deserves all the hype. I recommend everyone try Son of Egg.

I don't even know where to start. My friend and I both ordered a sandwich (she got bulgogi and I got crispy chic bbq) and they were both amazing. We are fat Americans ( I can say it) and we could only finish half. Then we got the potato tornados (awesome) and the cheese and potato corn dog (no hot dog, this is Korean style). Look, ive eaten a lot of food all up and down the east coast. Im a pretty good cook and id like to think i know whats good. I will NEVER forget my first bite. Best and most surprising thing i have ever eaten. Period. Hands down. No debate. Im going to go back tomorrow. Literally.

We bought dinner at this restaurant while our Amtrak train was stopped momentarily at the nearby station. The staff were incredibly helpful in providing an estimated time to prepare the food, and this timing was accurate. The avocado sandwich that I ordered was delectable and made with wholesome ingredients, such as the evidently homemade kimchi. Along with a seaweed soup, this order came to 14 dollars--a commendable price compared to the restaurants in the cities beforehand. Thank you!
