It is said that one cannot live by bread alone. But if you could, this Whole Wheat Sourdough would be high on my list. I am getting addicted to it. Just bought a loaf two days ago and it is almost gone. I love it plain, with butter, or as the base for a sandwich. Yum!

Bread Alone is a fun spot for breakfast with good food and a good atmosphere. It is a must-visit stop in Rhinebeck, a comforting place with good bread, good coffee, a clean and welcoming space, and friendly staff. This outstanding bakery/cafe has yummy breakfast, multiple rooms for sitting, and lots of options for kids and adults. It is the only coffee shop open early in Rhinebeck, at 7am, with good tea, good latte, many pastries, and hot breakfast items. There are many delicious options for lunch, pastries, and breads. The eclair was stuffed with custard and so good. The bakery products are yummy and well worth the price, and the coffee is great. A good spot with plenty of space to hang out.
