This weekend I came to visit my son at college. He and I are Liverpool fans and we needed to find a place to watch their big game against Arsenal. I found The Kroeg online, called a couple of days ahead and asked if we could watch the game there. They were super accommodating and made it happen for us. And they served excellent food and drinks. This is a real gem of a place!

Beer selection was great. Kind of a noisy local place but friendly.

Don't sleep! Best beer bar in Northern Dutchess and one of the best in the county. Dave does the work and knows the beer he's pouring and that's exactly what you want from a bartender, and a beer bar imho! Fridges full of odds and ends of great releases from mainly local (NY/NE) breweries, draft lines of the latest and greatest, and a lot of craft beers that have come to be standards. Keep it up, Dave!
Wheelchair accessibility: Street level accessibility.

Started with an eight dollar beer. NEXT time same beer came to ten dollars. Sorry can't see paying that much money. Usually the eight dollar beer becomes almost nine dollars.
Is the worse place I had been

We only went in to have a beer, they had a nice selection and we all found something we liked.
Wheelchair accessibility: We were able to get the wheelchair inside due to my son's wheelchair being quite narrow. The disappointment was that they only have high top tables for sitting so he was unable to use any of them.

What a darling boutique restaurant! The bread was delicious! We had several things from sandwiches to soups to salads and everyone was satisfied. Even a picky child devoured the grilled cheese they made him. The unique salad with goat cheese and sliced squash was yummy. My husband enjoyed the fajita soup and the thick slice of bread they served with it. Next time we hope to try some of their coffees.
I liked it better before they installed the uncomfortable church pews. The food & bread is good. Also, the LED lighting is harsh and cold feeling. Like all LEDs there is a strobe effect.
Breakfast sandwiches and pastries were delicious. Despite the name, a member of our party who is gluten free got a gluten free breakfast wrap. Breads and pastries were VERY tempting but we resisted bringing any home. Dog friendly, always a plus for us.
Great place for a drink or three!

Very pleasant spot in a very pleasant town… nice assortment of breads and pastries… good service…friendly place
They update their Untappd menu regularly, yet leave on many cans and bottles that they no longer actually have, presumably to draw in more people with false advertising and promised. Also, they have a URL but no functioning website, and their draft list is small and mediocre. Not a bad place to pick up some cans but I’d never make an effort to go here again.
That's the most truly Dutch name for a bar ever ???
Great little place! Large beer selection and very cool vibe!
Fun time!
