I visited Evil Twin on friday, June 13 to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had an overall great experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, the beer selection was impressive, they offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and majority of the staff were welcoming.
HOWEVER, we did encounter a very disappointing interaction with one female bartender that stood out from the otherwise positive visit. Her demeanor came across as noticeably unapproachable and rude. All 15 of us could easily pick up on her lack of professionalism and negativity. At some point, someone from our group spilled their drink and immediately cleaned it up. We were scolded for not reporting our spill and lectured on how “stout beers stain wood.” It’s a brewery…spills are expected. In the future, if you wish for your customers to report spills and not clean up after themselves, make that a known policy. There is no need to ruin everyone’s night just because you’re having a bad one.
Very unfortunate for such a nice brewery to lose customers because of unpleasant employee.
Favorite brewery in the city. It’s all good can’t miss
I love this cozy local brewery! With both indoor and outdoor seating and a welcoming pet-friendly atmosphere, it's perfect for bringing my dog along. They offer a great selection of card and board games, making it a fun spot to unwind. The beer is excellent--I usually go for the DIPA, one of my favorites. Occasionally, there's a food truck outside, adding to the experience. It's an ideal place for a relaxed, small gathering.
Nice place to enjoy delicious craft beers
We live nearby and come often—almost exclusively for Doozie’s, which we love. However, over the past few months, the atmosphere on weekends has really changed. It now feels more like a Chuck E. Cheese, with kids running wild throughout the space. On our last visit, there were children racing around the patio on scooters and one using the brewery’s water glasses as bowling pins while driving toy trucks through them.
I realize this is more of a parenting issue than something Evil Twin can fully control, but it’s reached a point where the chaos significantly affects the experience. If this continues to be the vibe, I’ll be reluctant to return.
Great place to go for a beer, or few beers. They fruited sours are awesome, intense and tasty. Prices - ok. Sadly, they werent many BA beers at the time, only one.
Unique NY beers. Usually have a good pop up.
I absolutely love Evil Twin! Excellent beers and the hands down best sours you will ever drink. The vibe is outstanding.

A good frozen drink with mezcal to accompany a nice afternoon
I live on the same street as the brewery and have to pass it everyday to get to the train. Nearly everyday there are large putrid puddles of rotting beer excess, that make the walk and surrounding area unpleasant. It stinks to high hell, be considerate of your neighbors.
A brewery tap that feels more like a swish bar. Great range of beers of course. Lovely bar staff who gave us samples and time to finish up despite my partner arriving just before closing.
I’ve been here so many times but neglected to leave a review. Amazing place, friendly staff, great great beers. Doozie pizza is also some of the best in nyc.
