Weird place. Place felt like one of the universal rides because once you get inside, youre in this little room where a guy gives you a rundown of the rules, regulation, safety information before you go on the ride, or in this case the actual bar. Went here on Halloween and music was more attuned towards the gothic emo community because it was random dark beats. Fog machine was intense also to the point where my friends and I needed to step outside because it was hard to breathe. Kinda late to review it for Halloween but this experience has just stuck with me to forget how bad it was. Didn’t bother getting drinks since the vibe of the place was so incredibly off. If you’re into weird beats, excessive fog, leaving with bleeding ear drums, and into the goth emo scene, this is the place for you, if not, don’t go. Could be just a Halloween event but either way for a $10 cover charge it was not even worth even a dollar.

Been coming for years, and every time I'm back it's less inviting. They still front as friendly and inclusive, but it's clear what this is now: a semi-private party for them and their crew. I've never been turned away, but the way I see them treat people at the door consistently sets a bad tone. Strict entry policy is one thing (good even!) but power tripping is another. This isn't Berghain–no one is that desperate to see your nepo booking for the eighth time. As someone who used to love it here, please get your policies straight before it undermines your whole brand.

I recently visited Nowadays on my yearly trip to NYC from SF, and honestly, I was pretty disappointed. A small sober group of mixed friends felt singled out when a shorter white hipster bouncer wouldn’t let us in just because one friend couldn’t name the DJ. We were told to wait two hours due to capacity, yet random people without tickets were getting in ahead of us as we initially waited for about 1 hour and were not asked about the DJ performing . I’ve loved this place for its inclusive vibe over the years, so it felt off to be treated like that. I get crowd control is important, but this experience was just strange and frustrating since it felt like a personal attack on character that I was not fully aware of . Hope they can do better!

The Best zone
Love this place! Especially the ghost factor that dance with you on the dance floor. Yall ever experience this at nowadays? The dance floor will make you feel like it’s packed then you realized ‘wow it’s early and not everyone is here yet”
Love it! 👻
Though I’m confused with the drink prices. Sometimes it’s 12 then another bartender will charge you 19?!? Wut?

Everything in this club is right. From the friendly & welcoming staff at the door, to clean toilets, one of the best soundsystems I heard & even tacos in the club!
went twice during my week in NYC and hope to be back soon. No phones & conversations on the dancefloor. real shit.

Not a crazy party dance club. Perfect to get high and vibe at, but if you want high energy find somewhere else. Great environment and atmosphere. Cover was around $35, if you get the reservation you have until 12am to GET INSIDE for that price, that includes waiting in line time.

They have a strict no outside food policy which is weird because they only have 1 abysmal food truck and when we were there , nobody else was there besides us and we got kicked out for eating outside food. They lost any business we would've given them on alcohol and potentially other food.
They also get their donuts from Dunkin Donuts because a worker rode up with a box of them to put out.

This venue is poorly run and has terrible service - planned an event here that they “forgot” about following near constant communication. DO NOT COME HERE!

It’s a nice vibe for the Sunday day party. Dance floor is packed, but around is fine. The Mexican food was unfortunately rather average.
