Love the food & the friendly atmosphere & service. We enjoyed (shown below) bean & escarole soup, prosciutto mozz artichoke sandwich (best crusty bread) and leek & potato soup.
Salvo’s is a quaint, yet, handsome paninoteca that truly offers Italian panini. They’re not serving seven different meats on one sandwich, but instead you’ll get classics with house made aioli and pestos that you really wouldn’t get unless you’ve been over to the boot itself. Welcome to Queens, Salvo’s. My girlfriend and I visited Sal’s after having tried his sandwiches in the past when he was delivering them from his 3-wheeler. His new space has a great atmosphere, and the sandwiches (we tried 2) were both great! The staff was friendly and we’ll be back to try more.
