I KNOW Stanley's are the best pierogi. I have been shopping here for 25 years.
The consistency of the fillings isn't the same. Sometimes, the meat or potato fillings are heavy on pepper, the sauerkraut is bland, or the potato is pasty. The latter was yesterday's issue. Normally, my teenage boys devour a pan of these after school, they are the meat but politely declined the potato filling. They didn't like the texture and I agreed. It wasn't appealing. I was disappointed.
I'm still going to shop here. I have nowhere else to go for a pierogi fix.
