Cash only but doesn't tell you that until after you order a drink? And the atm didn't work.

BEWARE OF OPEN FLAMES!

I sat down on a bench at this bar, unaware that candles had been negligently placed in a nook in the wall directly behind me. Within seconds, I smelled burning hair and heard people screaming—my hair was on fire. I managed to extinguish it with my hands, but the damage was done.

Shockingly, the DJ mentioned that this wasn’t the first time this had happened. Despite this, no staff members checked on me, offered any assistance, or even acknowledged the incident. Not even a complimentary drink was offered as a gesture of concern.

My hair is incredibly important to me, and now I have to spend over $300 on a curly cut to fix the damage. Everyone in the bar saw what happened, yet the staff showed zero accountability. I will never return and am disgusted by how they handled the situation.

Quirky little place full of details - everywhere you look there's something worth seeing. Music has been great everytime, and the crowd fun an engaging. Staff is awesome.

If you like Barbés you'll like this place - it's like a less jazzsnob version of it, but also its own thing. Would definitely love to become a regular here!

Cash only and the ATM fee was $9.50?!

Cash only spot with an eclectic interior that lends itself to be kind of hard to navigate because it’s so dense. Decent drinks at the bar and a nice outdoor area with a fire pit. Good place to make a stop at on an evening out in the area.

The DJs there are AWESOME on Fridays!!! And the bartenders are the best ; )

This place is full of old junk. And that’s just the clientele. The decor is immaculate, very ispy haunted castle, but the service and patronage were stuffy. The drinks were well prepared, if a bit basic.

From the moment I first set foot in this establishment a couple of years ago, I knew that the Keep in Ridgewood, Queens, is more than just a bar—it’s a local cultural institution that feels destined for legendary status. From the moment you walk in, the warmth and energy are infectious, thanks to an incredible team. Diego, Aiden, Luke, Andy, and Jake are the heart of the place—personable, entertaining, and always making you feel right at home. Their genuine charm and humor turn every visit into an experience you’ll want to repeat.

The musical lineup is just as captivating, showcasing an eclectic mix of talent that keeps things fresh and exciting. It’s the kind of spot where you can stumble upon an unforgettable performance, making it a cornerstone of Ridgewood’s creative scene.

With its unmatched hospitality and vibrant atmosphere, The Keep has cemented its place as a community hub and a beacon of culture in the neighborhood. It’s not just a bar—it’s a place where stories are made, and it’s well on its way to becoming a legend.

This place is a unique treasure, whimsical yet gritty, authentically Brooklyn(yes I know it’s technically in Ridgewood). The Keep owes its marvelous and hip ambiance to a combination of fantastic fresh cocktails, cohesively curated Decors, kitsch in all the right ways, wonderful staff, and great events. Top notch DJ’s and live music, and still a down to earth vibe that is a staple in the bushwick burner and artistic communities. The fire pit in the back is delightful, and I really enjoy the eclectic crowd. It’s a great place to have a private party or host an event. Every time I go I feel very well taken care of by the bartenders and security staff. It does get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you’re looking for a more chill vibe, check out earlier times and weeknights.
