Recently discovered this wonderful little Japanese restaurant in Riverhead. Friendly waitress greeted and served us with a smile. The Mango tartar, Spider roll, Seafood ramin were all prepared and served with elegance. The delicious Fried cheesecake topped off a truly wonderful dining experience.Will be back, God willing!
This has become the go to sushi place for my friend and I. The owners are such sweet people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We've made a point to try to go at least once a month, and while we have our favorites, there's always more good choices and we try to add new rolls in. The Mango Tuna Tar tar is my favorite, and is now our go-to appetizer, but there's so many options on the menu that you can't go wrong with almost any selection. If you're considering sushi and you're in the area, you're have to try Haiku.Parking: There's a large lot behind the building as well as usually pretty available street parking.

We were staying at the Hyatt down the road, kids asked for Sushi and the front desk recommended here, we took the walk down and it was great!! The ower is onsite and spends time making sure all guests are taken care of and happy. Kids enjoyed
I've ordered from Haiku quite a few times. Food is ALWAYS outstanding and fresh! I hadn't ever made small talk with the people there, but this time, I did and loved the husband and wife team. As a restaurant manager of a family restaurant, I just love seeing them work together. What a great dynamic they have! Love this place! I just wish I could get a spicy tuna roll without mayo, haha!Kid-friendliness: They made yakitori skewers with sauce on the side for my picky child and suggested other things she might like. Very informative
Ken the manager was so rude after we received our order and the Kani salad was missing. No apology and a real attitude. He didn't even care just wanted to get off the phone. Wasn't willing to do anything like issue a refund or credit or send the kani salad. He told us we needed to call grub hub even though he was the one who made a mistake. The food was ordinary at best as well. We will never order from here again. They just don't care about their customers. Stay away!

Not only did they have great sushi, beer and sake the (what I'm assuming was an owner) took my order was able to sit down with me and have an excellent conversation with me. Definitely a must come back to establishment when I'm back in the area. Thank you for the hospitality.
their food is very good. so fresh. the thing is, they advertise a lunch special that's 3 rolls for $14. i called on a weekend and called to confirm the lunch special price and was told that's the weekday lunch special, not the weekend. why not make that clear on the menu. the hours were certainly made clear on the menu (11-3). also, that price doesn't include tax. not happy.

There is a fly on our plate. Totally unacceptable. The service was bad and we asked water for three times until we got one. Not a single person could finish their meal because they were all really bad. Don’t order their ramen because it is probably better if you cook instant noodles yourself. Can’t believe all the good reviews they got. I will give a 0 star if I can.
