I loved the old world charm of this hidden gem.While traveling in Riverhead it is infrequent that I am not on a main road.I searched Restaurants in Riverhead was rewarded for my diligence.We shared an appetizer of the “Stuffies” which turned out to be the best baked clams I have had in years.My dinner meatloaf dinner ( true comfort bliss) came with soup of the day, a wonderful creme of tomato soup. This soup was so good it reminded me of the saucy taste of good baked ziti.I...
Just ate dinner there. Excellent food and service. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go back. Especially liked the Jersey burger with the toot beer barbecue sauce, Applewood bacon, and cheddar on a pretzel roll.
Wasn't impressed with the menu or food. The French fries were cold and too crunchy to eat. They tasted like they were overpriced too many times. The homemade cole slaw was excellent. I was disappointed that the online menu posted for lunch was not presented. I was looking forward to having a salad with the grilled chicken. Another guest had wanted the French dip, both were not available on Sunday. Service was rather slow. Food was not hot. Just fair.
