The food was good, they give out pretty good portions, the staff was very nice. It's a small little restaurant right on the corner, the service was quick

First of all they have frozen pattys ... the food was cold and it wasn't even smelling like mama was cooking again ... 0-10 would not go back again

I've been wanting to try Shadees since it was featured on the news during the beginning of the pandemic! Finally, finally, finally got to try their delicious takeout menu! Friendly service and clean establishment. We ordered the jerk chicken and curry chicken lunches as well as a couple spicy beef patties and a couple pieces of their fried chicken. We wanted to try as much as possible and have some leftovers for dinner! Great lunch portions and flavor! I found the jerk chicken to be a little dry but it had a nice flavor. The fried chicken had a lovely breading that had a nice crunch and light texture. The curry chicken was sooo good (my favorite!), as were the sides that we chose: rice, beans, and plantains. The beef patties were excellent as well. I'm not a huge fan of chicken with bones in them, but I'm sure the bones contributed to the rich flavor. I did find myself picking out very small chunks of bone, so be careful when eating. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try this authentic Jamaican food and definitely recommend others try it as well!

Good little spot in Riverhead for great Jamaican food. My husband I stopped in for some pickup and got a jerk platter and some fried dough. The food was delicious! I wish there was more signage of what was available bc I'm seeing now on some Yelp pics they have mac and cheese, but I didn't see it when we were ordering and there was no menu. I guess Friday night is not the night to go as they only had veggie patties on hand and no coco bread. I want to come back to try out their spicy beef patties and coco bread - curious if there's certain days it's best to go for better selection?

Fantastic food and service! The jerk chicken was fall off the bone tender and delicious. Perfectly cooked rice and peas and plantain. The owner was kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back for more!

After eating one spoonful I asked myself why I didn’t get two orders of their Mac n Cheese. Just … yes. They were a godsend with the Jamaican attitude to match (haha). Highly recommend. Happy Eating!

Awesome. Authentic. Yummy. The appearance from the outside might dissuade some because it looks like a fast food takeout place, but it is great.

It's inexpensive and fine, just not special at all. Take out only. Plantains we're good and everything is good, but nothing to write home about.

I would the food was disgusting and overpriced for a small amount of food very dry and salty. I bought a few things like 4 THINGS!!! It was almost $100 dollars total waste of money and time
