My mom bless her soul made the best sour bratten In the world. Or on my world😀. This place is a gem and I would recommend it highly. Great job !
So authentic and different.
This place is a long Island treasure. Tucked away in Polish town in Riverhead New York. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for all occasions. The sampler dish I ordered had perogies and smokey pork chop and an assortment of other delights perfectly cooked and in ample portion size to have me taking food home to enjoy later. The bar was friendly and relaxed. The staff is friendly and attentive. This place deserves to be reviewed by serious critics with my higher qualifications than myself.

This is an old school polish deli. Awesome food very small but they have everything you need for a good Polish dinner.

Food was good as usual. Buffet has some good choices for both breakfast and lunch. Was a bit disappointed the chocolate fountain wasn't available, but we lived.

The food was okay. Some things were very good, like pierogi, and some were just terrible, like chicken tenders.
But, the reason for one star is not the food. It’s over 30% more in the receipt. Service fee AND mandatory gratuity?! For a buffet?!! Really?!!
How about paying salaries and including them in prices? Will the next step be a food fee? 🤦🏼♂️
Oh, and trying to cheat with charging for two ‘extra’ adults is very unethical! 😡

You just have to try this place at least once in your life. It’s like stepping back into time into a wooden tavern and the food is phenomenal. Fresh pirogies are out of this world! Such a nice spot to take a friend out to lunch or go out to dinner. Everything I’ve tried so far has been so delicious!

I have ate at Birchwood Riverhead several times. Easter was my last time eating there. I was in a party of four, at $65 per person. The food was in my opinion less than okay. Desert was subpar. As for the service it was horrible. At the end of the meal we were asked to leave to clear the table for the next serving.
