my milkshake was quite literally a sack of milk with a drop of chocolate syrup. if i didn’t have my dignity i would’ve thrown it at someone.
I just went thru the drive-thru and got home to find vanilla instead of the chocolate I ordered and such a tiny spoonful for the expensive price. $17.55 for a shake and a two scoop tiny Sundae.
$5.18 for the smallest size (kiddie) of just custard (2/3 cup if they fill it all the way).
Local- great
Inflation - understandable
Price - still ridiculous. Sad that we will be going elsewhere now.
I’ve been going here for years. The staff is always very friendly. Love how they update their Facebook page with flavors of the day. Always delicious!
Walked in mid day and ordered a few ice creams. The girl who checked us out was talking to the other employee and was complaining about a customer and swearing right in front of us. The other employee quickly made our ice creams while being distracted with the telling of her story. The ice cream was complete soup and didn’t even make it to the end of the street. Will never go back again. Horrible service and ice cream.

Recently I went to the latta rd Abbotts. I ordered 3 basic ice creams, a flurry, a sunday and a 2 scoop dish. A very basic order. On the sunday I specified no nuts as the sunday was for someone with a nut allergy. On the receipt is said no nuts just as we specified. When we got home the Sunday was loaded with nuts under the whipped cream. Fortunately it was noticed just before the first bite.
I called the store to complain due to the seriousness of the error. The person I spoke to nonchalantly told me it was an honest mistake. As I pressed the seriousness of the incident only then did she apologize. She went on to say it’s late and they had a busy day and they are tired BUT if I said there was a nut allergy they would have made sure there were no nuts. Just asking for no nuts isn’t sufficient.
This is ridiculous! A word of caution, if you have an allergy you would be smart to avoid this Abbotts. They don’t understand the seriousness of asking for no nuts!

Love that they have a drive thru and the custard is amazing, but they are dishonest at least the staff was today. I ordered a large flurry and they put a regular flurry in a large cup and charged me 3 dollars more. They only filled the cup halfway. I could’ve went back but it wouldn’t have made any difference but I was disappointed in their dishonesty and lack of integrity, especially in these financial times. I will just avoid this location going forward even though I loved being able to use the drive thru. If they are doing things like this, they could potentially tamper with the food and it’s just not worth my piece of mind. If it wasn’t for this situation, I would’ve given them 5 stars across the board.

The best Custard!! We love Abbotts and this location is great.
I ordered an ice cream cake for a family picnic on Independence Day. The online ordering system worked well, and the cake was ready when requested. The employee brought the cake out from the back with the order sheet taped on top. I could see the first 2 letters of each of the 2 words I'd requested, so did not check the entire message. My spouse was waiting in the car and we rushed back to our hotel to get the cake in the freezer on a very hot day.
Later we realized there was a "typo" that was their mistake (checked my online order which was correct) that probably could've been fixed at the store if I'd noticed. My spouse who thought it was funny, so we didn't try to fix it ourselves. My fault for not checking at the store, but it was a common word that we were surprised to see misspelled.
The cake was delicious, and the family got a laugh from the mistake.

This visit included a play on nachos. With small, round waffle cone chips for dipping into two scoops of custard, sauces, and toppings of your choice, it was perfect for sharing or saving half for later.Since they're doing Strawberry Month, my husband got a Strawberry Short Cake Sundae.

Can't get enough of that custard. The only drawback is the price. A little higher than i want to pay for custard ice cream, but very hard to resist!

My favorite ice cream!!!! Thank you for my birthday ice cream cake! Loved it and it is delish!!! I won't be sharing ?
We go here all the time. It's our favorite ice cream shop to bring our 3 year old granddaughter. The staff is always very friendly, and service is quick. The ice cream is delicious, and the sundaes are amazing. We also purchased 2 ice cream cakes this summer, and they were alsovery good! We're in the loyalty club, so that saves us some money
