After living in Gates for 8 years we finally decided to try Agatinas tonight. We ordered the homemade meatballs as an appetizer, and they were so overcooked and so hard we had to use full force to cut through them with a fork. While the flavor was there, they were not enjoyable at all because they were so hard. 35 minutes after we ordered our main entrees, the sever stopped by and said our food was almost done and would be out in a couple of minutes. 35 minutes later I went to the hostess (an hour and 5 minutes after we ordered) and said, I just want to pay for my appetizer and the 2 drinks and leave because we have been waiting for over an hour. She asked if we wanted our food boxed up i said we want to go elsewhere because we're hungry. She said 'so you don't want to pay for it" to which i replied "we haven't even received it yet." Our server magically reappeared and said we had gotten stuck behind a party of 20. She then offered to box our food up. i said I wanted to eat there, but we couldn't wait any longer. The food then came out a minute later. The alfredo sauce on the fettuccine was blander than any Italian restaurant I have ever been to. it was severely lacking garlic and seasoning. The chicken with the chicken marsala was so hard I needed my steak knife to cut through it. The only things that were enjoyable was the sauce that it came in and the warm bread. We were so excited to try it after hearing good reviews, but this was definitely a one and done for us.

There's an unpleasant odor when you walk in. That should be addressed. The food was okay. Just being honest. 🤷🏻♂️

The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful! I was there with a large party and the food was timely, correct and fantastic for all of us! They even offered to put in the order for the 4 kids who were there first, which was really helpful and appreciated! The chicken cutlets are amazing!

Service was minimal at best. Meatball appetizer was Blagh. Bacon wrapped scallops were fishy bay scallops. 5 of em for 12 or 14$. Seriously? If they are fishy they are old throw em out! Service was borderline. Bread was stale. And an extra charge if you wanted more! For what you got and all the additional charges. Won’t be back for the price. My cousins lasagna was" microwaved” overpriced serving! lol. Won’t go back for o priced lack of service and poor bar service and waiting despite reservation. Awful! I could have made this entire meal at home for bout 30 and it would have been fabulous! skip this dump!

Best Gnocchi in Rochester. Love their sauce as well. I always get their veal parm when I go with Gnocchi and always struggle to eat all of it.
