Aldaskeller is one of my favorite places in Rochester! I’ve never had a wine I disliked from there - the owner has excellent taste and the staff is so knowledgeable. Such a welcoming place with a beautiful interior and great events.
I honestly ran into the first shop I came across on the way (there were 4 minutes left before closing!) and hit the jackpot with Aldaskeller wine! A wonderful selection of wines with very good prices and a wonderful owner who spent 15 minutes after closing looking for something that would suit my taste and offered me a wonderful bottle that brought joy to my friends and me that evening.
This is the third time I have gone to Aldaskeller this past year from New York City and it is my favorite wine shop, without a doubt. I always am so excited to return. Every time I have gone Joey has been nothing short of exceptional in service and knowledge, without being pretentious. I really want to applaud 1. how well versed he is in wine, food pairings, and catering to the specifics of what I am looking for while giving multiple options that vary in region and price. 2....
