As both a non-alcoholic cocktail bar and a n/a bottle shop, it serves so many needs for a wide range of people with diverse interests. AltBar is a kind and inclusive place which reflects the goodness of their owners. We’re fortunate to have this kind of place in a city of our size. Highly recommend!

AltBar is truly one of my favorite local spots in Rochester. I’ve been many times—for bingo, tarot readings on Halloween, and art collective nights—there’s always something fun happening. They have the largest selection of non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails I’ve ever seen, plus great local snacks to enjoy while you’re there.
The owners are often on site, but even when they aren’t, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and happy to guide you toward the perfect drink. I’ve even gone to co-work with friends thanks to their WiFi, and the outdoor patio adds to how welcoming and versatile the space is. A must-visit in Rochester.

Alt Bar is an alcohol free bar. I love the idea of this place. They have a huge selection of alcohol free products, many of which I had never seen anywhere else. It's a fun space, and the staff is lovely, and the selections are really good. I will say I came to this place not knowing that it was alcohol, free, and when I found out, I cannot say that I was not disappointed, but I recognize that's my problem, and not the bar's problem. So as an alcohol free bar, I would have to give it a pretty darn good score. It's not particularly for me, but I would happily go here with people who would prefer to be in an alcohol free zone.
I feel like they got so many things right that I complain about in other bars, and coffee shops. It's a warm inviting and interesting atmosphere, and I felt like even at the bar, I had a fair amount of privacy with my friends, which is kind of a big deal for me.

My husband and I went to their wine tasting and it was incredible!! The bartenders were so friendly and welcoming, and the wines tasted like actual wine! We tried some cocktails as well which were equally amazing. Such a great idea and terrific option for those that prefer to not drink alcohol. We will be back!

Our first visit was to attend an alcohol free wine sampling event. There were 21 wines from 7 countries available for tasting. We were impressed by the server’s ability to stay calm while serving a full house. He memorized every order! The food offerings were limited, which the only reason it wasn’t given 5-stars.
