Terrible breakfast buffet Sunday September 7th. The scrambled eggs tasted bitter and burnt but I only saw brown patches no black patches so I’m guessing the bottom was burned and they harvested the non-black eggs from the top of the pan. The sausage links, bacon and potatoes were all room temperature. The pancakes were warm and my server gave excellent service finding me sugar free syrup. As a diabetic I really shouldn’t have full sugar syrup.

I heard from others here for the conference that they had terrible hamburgers and poor service in the main restaurant at dinner. They said they sat at the bar 30 minutes without anyone taking their drink order and then when they finally got to order food it was poor quality “burger disk”. And they were never able to get drinks.

Drifters in the Hilton next door had excellent food and service. I had a huge juicy pork chop with roasted red potatoes. Then the next morning I went there and had a good omelet.

If you are thinking of eating at Astor on Main, think twice. This restaurant literally served spoiled and moldy food....with a hefty price tag, too. The hollandaise sauce in my order was spoiled, both my husband and son had cheese omelets, FULL OF MOLD (see pictures of the moldy food and our hefty bill!!! ) and despite sitting there for over an hour, the on duty Manager, who saw and heard what was going on, NEVER ONCE even stopped at our table to acknowledge us or any of the problems. The kitchen took FOREVER to make the food, which would be fine if it was edible...but it was not even close to being fit for a dog. To be 100% clear, the 2 photos of the moldy cheese that I pictured are not the only spots of mold, ALL of the cheese and both omelettes were FULL OF MOLD. Truly a disgrace! As a Hyatt Globalist, I am shocked that this type of restaurant would be allowed to operate under the Hyatt name.

The ONLY bright spot was Anna, our waitress, who was the absolute sweetest person ever and I can only hope that other patrons treat Anna well because she seems to be the ONLY person facing off with all of the angry customers who receive horrible food from the kitchen.

Waitress was friendly and attentive. Host was ok.
The food was some of the worst I've had this side of the pandemic. Roasted potatoes must have been roasted hours ago and for hours. Omelet so overcooked it was inedible. I frequently eat hotel eggs, so this is saying a lot. Coffee made Folgers crystals seem gourmet. Left hungry and disappointed.

We sat for almost 45 minutes without getting served and left without eating. The manager was very apologetic but offered no explanation. This was all the more surprising since there was only one table occupied when we entered the restaurant and it’s especially hard to imagine how they could have lost our order which they probably did. The restaurant occupies a fairly dingy ground floor space in the Hyatt Regency hotel and is only open for breakfast and lunch. Menu offerings for lunch are quite limited and vegetarian options even more so. Since we weren’t served we can’t comment on the quality of the food.

Vegetarian options: No vegetarian options that I can recall.

Breakfast tacos were awful. Soggy shells, undercooked oily corn, mealy overcooked broccoli, and limp potato wedges dripping with warm brown oil. The taste of everything was bland and not fresh.

Astor on Main took our reservation for Thanksgiving - 1:30pm November 23 for 3 people. I made it on November 5th. I was asked to confirm the reservation the day before. But, when we got to the restaurant at the appointed hour we found it locked up tight with no lights on. There were no signs about closure. We tried both the inside and outside entrances. The doors were simply locked. I can understand wanting a day off on a holiday. But in that case don't accept reservations. If something comes up forcing closure, at least have the decency to contact those who are expecting to dine so they can make other arrangements. VERY poor showing here.

The service was top teir! The food was amazing! The band set the perfect mood for a date night to remember. For a place that has only been open weeks fine job! This is going to be a regular spot for us!!

Parking: There's a parking garage with very reasonable parking prices

Highly disappointed: We made an in-person reservation well in advance to treat our mothers and wives to brunch for Mother’s Day – with a lengthy conversation with Astor about the menu for brunch on Mother's Day. A couple of days before Mother’s Day, we learned that the restaurant mistakenly booked us for the Sunday AFTER Mother’s Day. After driving to the restaurant (because we could not reach them by phone) to request the change and notify them of their mistake, the manager said that they are now full for Mother's Day and there is nothing they could do about it. This is highly problematic because we are now stuck since most restaurants are fully booked, and our relatives have to reschedule their own plans. Astor really dropped the ball – and we were not offered a resolution, suggestion, or put on a waitlist – only “we are full this Sunday, but would you like to keep the following Sunday.” What??? The food is never greater than customer care, and we had a frustrating experience.

The dish I had was amazing! I think it was the short ribs. The supporting vegetables were good, too. The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for a great dining experience. ?

Forced to use this daily as staying at the hotel. Service extremely slow, no urgency to anything. Food average to poor. Definitely make the effort to go elsewhere.

5 people, 2 orders of pancakes, 1 French toast, 1 eggs Benedict, 1 bagel and lox. Terrible. Pancakes were dry, flat and over cooked. Bagel was burnt and the avocado cream cheese was grainy. Eggs Benedict did not have hollandaise sauce, just a busted yolk. 85 dollars for seriously bad food. Find some place else to eat.

Went to Sunday morning “Jazz brunch” and there was no music and hardly anyone there. This restaurant advertises the fusion of food and music but our waitress told us there's no live music any more. I feel we were there on false pretenses. That said, the food was great, if not a little overpriced, and the service was fantastic.

Was recently here for Diner en Blanc’s starting point before the pop up dinner. The jazz lounge was large and inviting. The bar tender was doing a fabulous job keeping up with the number of people on site. They had a signature cocktail for the evening which ended up being very good. We will back to check them out. Parking is at the hotel or you can find street parking for free.
