I’m ready to say this is by far the best place to get bagels in Rochester! Huge variety, and the bagels are fresh with the perfect crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Lots of homemade cream cheese options. They also bake a wide variety of goods and have discount pricing on day old items. Prices are great and service is super quick. Of all the bagels we tried the Montreal everything bagel was my favorite because of it softer bread and slightly sweeter flavor. Another note is they put a ton of cream cheese on the bagel which is great but also offer a discounted price for those who don’t want so much cream cheese.

You're not coming for service or atmosphere. These are the best bagels in the town. It is a bummer the don't open to 7 or 8 am soi can't typically get this before work.

Amazing bagels! My sister and I came yesterday near closing and they were all out of fresh bagels so we got to take some of the day old bagels. Today we came back and had the most amazing service, such kind staff and super tasty bagels with unique flavours. Will definitely be back!!

Nice little bagel shop, somewhat dated in its fit out, but there is plenty of seating and the service is very friendly. The bagels are decent but a lot of the hot toppings are microwaved or quickly reheated which I don’t love. But it does make for quick service. Which is what the business is about; decent bagels quickly served, and mainly for pickup.

$19 for 6 bagels and 2 Cream cheese tubs?!?!?. Wow. That's all I can say, while their product is good $19 is a tough pill to swallow. I can get a sleeve of bagels from a BJS or Costco for much less. Are they the same? No but a toaster does wonders to make anything crispy.

Used to be great, unfortunately with the recent health department shut down, it revealed the true attitude management/owners have towards serving food in a clean environment. I can understand bugs and mice occasionally as that happens anywhere but what was uncovered was gross neglect. Instead of apologizing they made excuses, and didn’t make it right. I won’t continue to patron here based on health and principle until ownership and management change hands.

The vegan breakfast bagels are great! There are 3 options for vegan meats, all the cream cheeses are available as vegan and there are multiple vegan desserts. The inside is large and spacious with lots of places to sit. There is also outdoor seating. Unfortunately it closes at 1 so you need to get there by then, which makes sense for breakfast, but we've gone for brunch a couple times so cutting it close! There are *many cream cheeses and I love that they're all available in vegan versions! They might just *be vegan by nature, but we say so anyway so I don't actually know, lol.Vegetarian options: I can only report on vegan options, which are inherently vegetarian.Parking: The parking is available in their designated parking lot behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: It's your typical bagel place, no reason kids can't go in lolWheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs upon entry.

Love Balsam! The best bagels in town! We just purchased 28 bagels for my brothers post wedding brunch and they had soooo much variety. It was Sunday morning and they were very busy but the entire staff were so friendly and moved quickly to attend to everyone. Will never go anywhere else for bagels!

Found these in my bagels over the weekend of 10 /21/23. I called and the owner had his workers call while he was standing there. Leaving them to basically do his dirty work. Took no responsibility himself the owner until his third phone call/ text message to me. Throughout the day he proceeded to text me even though I did not want to speak further with him. To discuss how he wanted to receive the bagel back. I had to bring to his attention on how upset we were and we still did not receive an apology from him personally and he copped an attitude. Just like when I spoke to his worker on the phone I can hear him in the back. All aggressive. If you can't clean your stuff and you're going to sell this to the public. At least take responsibility for when they're acknowledging it with you. Except for telling them that it is a burnt seed.. sad because we were loyal customers because they had a good product. Never realizing the health risk this put our family in. Mr. Malik should really be ashamed of himself the way he conducted himself after the fact.
