The owner literally licked oil off his hand and went back to preparing my food in front of me. He said you will not find a better salad in rochester.
My friend used them for catering an event and they messed up put cheese on the salads. The entire family has a dairy allergy. They definitely told them this when they ordered. They have to be very careful. Basha wouldn't redeliver the salad and people from the party had to leave the party and pick up the salad without cheese. They offered no compensation and blamed the person ordering for not saying no cheese. Not true

1 star for the worst Falafel I’ve had in Rochester - 1 star for telling me my meal was gluten free and serving it over a Pita and claiming they did nothing wrong.

High quality ingredients, great recipes, and a menu with plenty of variety. The baba is worlds better than any other I’ve had. I get my kids hummus with chicken and it’s probably one of the most nutritious kids menu item I can get anywhere, and my kids actually love it!

Staff was so rude. I asked for a grain bowl and I got a to go container stuffed full
Of lentils and quinoa and I asked for more veggies and woman insisted I get 5 veggies with it, but that totaled maybe half a cup of chosen veggies and all
Lentils and grains. I asked for feta, did not get feta and she rolled her eyes when I asked for a bowl to eat there and not a to go container. Everyone else in line had veggies they chose and in a real bowl. I can order in a restaurant, but she acted like I was asking for the sun, moon and stars. Won’t be back. $20 for a bowl of lentils isn’t it:

Basha has great food, a cozy café with amazing coffee and desserts, and the staff are very accommodating. I was trying to help my in-laws order their meals (they don’t speak English) and to my surprise several of the staff were able to speak Spanish and were able to wait on them! The restaurant is always clean and I like all the little add-ins they have to add to your water. Also love their giant garden outside 🙂
