Generally like this place. But getting relatively ignored at the front of a large line was annoying. It got so frustrated I left, and I wasn't the only one.

It may have taken me over a year to finally remember the name of this spot, but I'm obsessed. I recommend it to everyone I know, too. I don't even live in Rochester but this is where I buy my coffee. There are some roasts from different locals than what you may typically find, like Malawi and Sulawesi. It's all good, and all becomes a matter of personal coffee preferences.Someone mentioned the staff here not being nice or friendly, but I've had great interactions with them all. The baristas bust their butts and the coffee area employees put up with my many coffee questions. Prices went up in May to $18/pound from $16, I believe; they clearly communicated it was due to rising costs and paying their coffee suppliers a decent rate. I still think it's a fair price--some places charge than price for 12 ounces versus a full pound.

Met friends for coffee before shopping at the Rochester Public Market. A couple musicians serenaded us out on the sidewalk café. Great experience. Hats off to Java Jean.Parking: Parking for the public market is always busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, but entry is not flush. (Very old building)

Ordered an iced latte, recieved a cup full of milk with what appeared to be refrigerated cold brew, not a live shot, haphazardly poured on top. Tastes like a milkshake, my syrup has more flavor than the coffee, it tastes like cherry milkshake.

Very nice place to get a cup of coffee before walking the public market. Plethora of options for fresh roasted beans to take home as well. My dirty chai was delicious.

Cozy and inviting coffee shop with all the essentials in the Public Market. Latte, cappuccino, chai, multiple flavors of drip coffee and more. Definitely busy on a sunny Saturday but the line moved quickly. I had a small latte with sugar free caramel and it was great. I didn't see a food menu but from other Yelp photos it looks like they have great breakfast sandwiches.Cash only!

Excellent coffee, cozy, wonderful vibe, shop was packed. It looked like standing room only, but a table always seemed to clear right when it was needed. Why only opened one day a weak? Wahhhh! I had the most amazing almond croissant there.

Great latte with robust flavor!
Love the columbine Decaf. Medium bold flavor.
