Absolutely awesome experience! Krissy is an incredible server and really made the experience complete. Black & Blue is on my list of places to go back to. Treat yourself and someone special to a dining experience here!!!

We have eaten here many times and it used to be good. Last fall we were amazed at the smaller amounts given for the à la carte items but thought, gee must be a fluke. Went again a few days ago and the food was not good. The steak was tasteless and served lukewarm at best to 3 of us. Used to be that the steaks would be sizzling on the metal plates when they served it, not this time. I put the rest of the butter on my butter knife on my steak and it didn't even melt!!! No flavor at all and no aroma. The once great garlic mashed potatoes were terrible, again no flavor and certainly no garlic just a few scallions thrown on top. They were not busy at all and why they were rushing us is beyond me. The waitresses assistant drove us nuts, he was constantly at the table with a wet paper towel, washing our spots and they were not even dirty. We could not even eat in peace. AND talk about nickle and dime-ing you to death, they now charge $3 for what used to be included with your steak, your choice of sauce.
Something has drastically changed since about Sept of last year. It will be a long time and I would have to see a lot of great reviews before spending that kind of money for a mediocre at best meal. Shame, another good restaurant in Rochester bites the dust.

We came back again and I had to write this change in my review. The food was excellent, served piping hot, and the portions of the a la cart sides was back to what we have always experienced here. Yes it is a pricey restaurant, but what isn't now days. The service was impeccable and food delicious. The only exceptions our party noted were that the crab cake appetizers did not come with the sauce that it used to and they were dry and a lot of bread, but tasty. And the wait staff does NOT need to clean your place mat after clearing plates between courses especially if you didn't spill anything. I finally told the young man that I kept my food on my plate and my mat didn't need a wash down.
We were pleased that all seems to be back to normal and that our previous visit must have been a bad fluke.

This use to be my place to go to. This place was horrible tonight. We had the private room tonight. Terrible service, mixed up orders, missing items , cold food. Twenty minutes between drink orders. I won’t go back again. So sad!!

Never again. Drove 30 minutes for slop and after I bought my take out order everything was closing . Never again because I was hungry and wasted my time, had to drown the chicken in hot sauce for taste. NEVER AGAIN

This place has been on my list of places to try for so long, I've heard great reviews only and had people praise this spot. That was the complete opposite experience my boyfriend and I had. The service was great, everyone was so kind and ready to assist in any way, but the food...just disappointing. Either the starter bread or crab cake was the best thing we had, but beyond that I felt like I was eating at a glorified Applebees. We ordered a special that was a bed of mushroom rice, ancho and coffee rubbed steak, and a rosemary demi-glaze - sounded delicious, but we ended up sending it back. The rice was cooked by someone who must've been cooking rice for their first time, texture was off and it tasted like mushroom water. The steak was cooked fine, but the flavors we're just terrible and the rosemary glaze was so overpowering. We also had lobster mac and cheese that was nothing special either, overall it was just really disappointing for a place that has been so overhyped.

Located in a strip mall, B&B features standard steak selections very reminiscent of Capital Grill. Service is very good but can be slowish when very busy. Several dining areas for office events and decent selection of drafts. Steaks come out on metal trays, placed on a wooden charger - very hot. I was worried that my med rare was over done but was just about right. Didn't see any dry aged options but strip was good

Crowded and waiting quite some time for the food but we were generously compensated for it and that food was immaculate which makes since why it was packed

Restaurant that is clearly trying to compete on the high end. Typical prices are about $100/diner for a meal with drinks.
Food is very good.
We came with a group of six for a birthday. To accommodate six they set a booth for four with two extra chairs. Not a comfortable set up. Table is small for six so appetizers and meal dishes are crowded on the table.
Service was not helpful best. Drinks and appetizers were ordered. The waitress had clearly memerized a script for the meals and specials and it sounded like it.
Main courses came very quickly after appetizers so the meal was rushed. Dishes were not cleared quickly so they were stacked all over (small table for six). Second order for drinks ordered during appetizers did not come until half way through the main course.
Dessert for the birthday person came out while dishes were being cleared. The watress never offered coffee or dessert menus for a while, so the birthday dessert was almost gone and it would have been awkward to order.
The watress brought the bill, we took a look and put credit cards in the folio. We waited, and waited. The party left except for one-and waited. Eventually took the bill with cards up the the front hostess to pay.
Good food, ok atmosphere (for 4 or less.)
Service needs work
If you just want some good food (at a high price) this may be the place. If you are looking for a really nice meal, try elsewhere.

The service was immaculate per usual, Benjamin is always fantastic. The food was definitely subpar to say the least this time around.
My fiancés filet was fattier than normal. Both of our king crab enhancements were more work than worth. I have never had a rubbery king crab leg until today. The shell was so cooked it was like a Gumby toy. Brussels sprouts were tasty but undercooked.
The fondue starter, cocktails, and desserts were amazing and the only saving grace for the food.
We have been to Black & Blue a few times but I think this will be our last.

Had a wonderful evening with fantastic food and service (thanks Billy and Hannah)!
We all had steaks: Waygu Ribeye, Ribeye and the Bone In Strip. We had 3 sides between us: mushrooms, fries and cauliflower gratin. The steaks were all beautifully cooked to our liking and sides were delicious. Desserts were sorbet, cheesecake and chocolate bomb (which is enormous and could easily serve 2!).
A great evening.

I have been here a few times and always had great experiences last night was not one. I made reservations for 7:30 and we arrived 30 minutes before we sat at the bar and had a drink and then I had to remind the person we were still waiting at 7:30 for our table. They seemed to find us a seat at that time in a corner, so we sat next to each other at a booth. After we sat at 7:30 and waited, we waited more and more. Johny the assistant to the waiter was great! We got our food just before 9 more than an hour after we ordered, and it was ok. They asked when I made the reservation if it was for a special occasion and I said yes, then had to remind the waiter it was for a 40th Birthday. My girlfriend has never been there and not the experience I expected bringing her there and not worth the money.

I and my wife and another couple joined us for a superb meal on my birthday. To say this warranted 5 stars is an understatement. The food is fantastic. The service was also top notch. Steak and seafood are the main attractions. But don't forget there dessert!

We sat on the second floor so it felt a bit more intimate. Our waiter Oren was great, and Peter was so kind. We went here for my birthday. The food was perfect. I loved everything but my salad. I got the mixed greens . The oysters were soooo good. Fresh, cold and a little hot sauce bottle came with. My cowboy steak and shrimp were perfect . Steak was seasoned well and had a beautiful rosemary flavor. Shrimp were huge and cooked to my liking. My fiance got the waygu strip n it was delicious. They brought warm moist towels w lemon after we had oysters. Took our food and boxed n bagged it when we were done . I also got a complimentary slice of cake for my bday. I really special spot
