Extremely Disappointing Ramen- tasted nothing like an Authentic Japanese Ramen, we travel Asia(Japan) alot and have eaten allot of Ramen & this, Second time around was still really bad also because the noodles tasted stale like freezer taste in both the Ramens we got which were Tonkotsu Ramen & Spicy Miso Ramen. The Vegan Gyoza wasn’t great either☹️?.

Kindest owner/chef I've ever experienced. Popped over from Museum of Play and what a great experience. Delicious, unique tastes and the best service ever. So glad we stopped here and we'll be returning often.

Service was very welcoming and friendly! Who I believe to be the owner was there helping out whenever he can and was incredibly friendly as well! The food however wasn't as I was expecting it to be. I had gotten the spicy miso tonkotsu ramen with a couple extra ramen eggs. The broth wasn't as spicy as I thought it would've been pretty mild but nothing to fiend over. Also there were either too many noodles or not enough broth, either way you look at it, dry overall. Also, I would've liked my ramen eggs to be marinated longer... had a little bit of flavor but would've liked a stronger taste. However the eggs were cooked to perfection! A great jammy egg :))

Used to come here a lot before Covid and it was always incredible. This is my first time here since the other location changed. The smoke shop inside was cool, but totally wrecked the eating space. I don’t know if it’s a short person thing but the idea of a hot liquid meal and tall chairs at a communal table was very uninviting. The person at register was very friendly, but the person in the kitchen was very hostile towards him. Also was pretty unfriendly to a very polite delivery driver. If it was busier I’d understand, but we were the only ones waiting.Anyway, the food was good. Got more expensive which I get, but quality feels like it went way down. I was a die hard fan of this place’s wavy noodles but they’ve changed to a thinner, less flavorful noodle. When there’s only 4 things in that broth the noodle quality makes a huge difference. Also can’t help but feel that for the price it was a small serving. Still filling enough, but it was surprising how underfilled the bowl was. When this place opened it felt like such a clear labor of love. I had many conversations with Michael about the care and attention he put into perfecting the dishes here. I’m glad to see that that this place made it through COVID, but I hope now that things have slowed down he will return to the quality that made Rochester lucky to have such a shop.

The sharing space with a head shop is a bit odd, however the food rocks. One of the best Japanese curry’s I have had in a long time. Staff were amazing and it a great value.

Last week I went and got the spicy ramen variety. My stomach was really messed up from drinking the night before. After eating that my stomach was satisfied, settled, and happy. The spicy miso is the perfect cure for a hangover. Boom

This was the first and last time we ordered from Roc City Ramen. My boyfriend's ramen had too many noodles and not enough broth. I had the "spicy" ramen but requested the spicy oil on the side. There were no chili pepper flakes in it and no spicy oil on the side. We also ordered pork goyzas but they tasted freezer burnt. We won't be back and will not recommend this place to anyone.

I had the tonkatsu ramen and my friend had the spicy miso. Both were amazing! The staff are really friendly and I can’t wait to try more of their menu

They are very good and most common ramen that most beginners would enjoy before try more complicated or spicy ramen. I would recommend for anyone to try for the first time, but I also want to let you know that parking lot is very limited. Park at right time before it gets busy. They are good for quick meals, but they are not designed for long sit and chat long time like other restaurants. For take out, they did well and food stay fresh just like if you are eating at the restaurant. Both ways are working perfect for this restaurant.

very mid meal, i was really disappointed!personally, i feel as if eggs should come with the ramen and should not be an 1 dollar add on. but thats just me (that didnt impact my rating, just how i feel) I really do wish it came with additional veggies and ingredients rather than JUST CORN AND MEAT. It was just bland and its kinda sad that a place that is marked as a ramen shop, has ramen thats the same quality as taichi bubble tea

Wow ! This place is absolutely AMAZING! Delicious broth, fresh ingredients big portions and the most friendly and personable service . Being from out of town, this is my new go-to whenever I’m come to Rochester. Thank you so much!

Ordered on Uber eats. I tonkotsu ramen with 2 extra portions of pork, and I ended an egg. It was on the salty side (it’s supposed to be salty, I know. It didn’t bother me personally, but if you are sensitive to salt, beware.) I also added an egg. The broth was very rich, especially with the egg. The pork was tender and had that perfect grilled/charred flavor.

Had the vegan miso soup with softboiled egg and a canned unsweet tea. Totaled 21.77$ including 10% tip. The toppings were still chilled when served, after submerging in the broth to warm they were very tasty. The miso and eggs were great. The noodles were a little Al Dente. All in all very filling and the miso broth was very good.
