During my recent brunch visit to Caramel Bakery and Bar, I was impressed by the clean and charming atmosphere, as well as the friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food failed to meet my expectations. The cappuccino was bitter and lacked sweetness, and despite asking the staff for sugar, I couldn't fix the issue. The banana chocolate chip pancakes were undercooked and excessively sweet, so i didnt add any syrup. My friend found the eggs to be good, but the biscuits were oddly textured, being both hard and soft. While the venue was pleasant, the food's did not meet expectations.

Had a very disappointing recent experience here. We arrived about 40 minutes before the bakery was scheduled to close and just wanted to order a slice of cake from the case (nothing from the kitchen). The employee at the front did not greet us when we walked in, did not attempt to be welcoming in any way, and acted quite put out when we asked for a glass of water. We ultimately felt so uncomfortable that we left before we were even able to finish our cake (about 20 minutes before close) and went across the street to Starbucks. Our other experiences here have been good, hopefully this was an exception.

I've been here about 6 times and the coffee, dessert and service have always been great. Worthy of 5 stars. Unfortunately they no longer have a full service kitchen so the deserts are not what they used to be. I always ordered the brookie with ice cream. It was a beautiful dessert with carmel and chocolate sauces laced on the top.I told everyone about it. Tonight I got what you see in the picture. A desert wrapped in plastic on a plate. I plan to bring it home warm it up and toss on some sauces. My wife did like her apple crumb pie. This will be my last visit.....unless I hear that the full service kitchen is up and running.

Love the concept but everytime we come the cake slices we order are hit or miss. Absolutely love the apple and strawberry rhubarb crumb pies & this blueberry vanilla cake they had during the summer but on a recent visit our cakes were pretty dense and on the dry side

We used Caramel for our wedding desserts! My husband and I had a special connection to Caramel, since we had a lot of date nights there, so we knew we wanted them to be involved. They were very easy to work with. Very responsive over email. We did a little tasting box and were able to pick exactly what we wanted. We picked up the desserts the day before the wedding and they were ready on time. The mini desserts were perfect for what we wanted for our guests and SO delicious. My mom won’t stop asking if we have more carrot cake truffles hidden somewhere! They also did our small cutting cake which was delicious. Highly recommend them!

We used to live on park ave and always enjoyed visiting Caramel. While shopping around for wedding desserts, they were on my list. We wanted a cake and mini desserts and we knew their minis were delicious! Working with them was awesome. We had a great little tasting and got to pick out an array of mini desserts and cake flavors. Communicating with them via email was easy and they were very receptive to my ideas. Our cake turned out perfectly! It was so beautiful and everything tasted amazing. We will continue to visit them and recommend them!

This is my fourth time at Caramel. Each time we’ve gone for drinks and dessert. The cocktails and drinks are always awesome, the staff is very friendly and the concept of this place is great. That said, the primary reason why we go here is for the dessert selections and while the variety is always nice, the desserts are always underwhelming. Nothing seems fresh, everything is always in the chilled display case and all of the cakes and things are just “meh”. My entire table didn’t like their dessert and we didn’t finish any of them. Everything was hard and super cold, and I feel like many of those desserts shouldn’t be served chilled the way they are. I really like the concept of this place and want to keep going back but their dessert is always so underwhelming. Maybe it’s just me? Maybe it’s just dessert? The reviews on here seem to make me in the minority. I would definitely go back for an espresso martini, but at this point having gone here several times for dessert I just think there are much better places.
I ordered cupcakes for a party and they were delicious and looked great! They were. Big hit and ao many of the guests commented on the flavor! As a descendent of a professional/ Master baker I highly recommend Caramel! Also ordered a cake a few months ago and it was spectacularly decorated and tasted amazingly moist and flavorful. Caramel treats would be a welcome addition to any celebration or get together! Thanks to Haley, Mark and their talented staff!

They also assisted us with identifying some vegan and gluten free desserts to help us accommodate all our guests.
