This was my second visit to Char, and just like the first time, the execution was flawless. The food was delicious and the service was moeccable.

Our experience was great, We ordered crab cake appetizers that were delicious. Lobster Mac and cheese, Puréed Potatoes and Remus cheese burger for dinner. The lobster Mac and cheese was not the best it was lacking flavor especially since it was a Gouda based based Mac and cheese, the burger was perfect and delicious, the potatoes were ok but again lacked some flavor. The server we had was named Sam and he was so great that we overlooked the minor issues we had with the food. All the service they provided was beyond expectations.

First trip to Rochester. Char did not disappoint. Great service. Cocktails were delicious, extensive wine list. Meals were delicious and steaks cooked perfectly.

It was our first time at Char. We had a lovely experience. The food was good and the service was excellent. We thought the atmosphere was was very nice, and there wasn't a lot of noise so we could converse easily. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were very accommodating to that. We will visit again.

We had the oysters, perfect size, tres magnifique. I had a NY strip medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked. I loved the service. Will be returning soon. 10/10.

Char staff was friendly and courteous. The service was good. We did have quite a bit of wait for our food approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. The portion sizes are enough to share with a good group. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the ambiance of the environment.

Omg...I had the best Mother's Day everrrrrr at this place. The food was out of this world and our server (African American woman with locks) was hands down the best that I ever had. She was so knowledgeable about the entire menu all the way down to the drinks. The food was top tier and the selections of butters were a great hit when paired with our dishes. All of the food and service was a 20/20 I tell you! I will for sure be back!

Went for father's day with daughter. Only complaint was the food wasn't the best. Order steak (medium well). Came back well. Jerk chicken sandwich was dry and not flavorful. We made the best of it since we don't like sending food back or complaining about the food. Might get a " special" if you do.

I had a burger. Asked for it medium.. it was more well done and the outside had a hard crust that was not really enjoyable. I ate 1/2 with the bun but could not eat the other half with or without the bun I was truly disappointed. Don't eat burgers often and was disappointed I couldn't enjoy this one.
