Door guy mean mugged me for no reason, tried acting like the strong silent type and instead just seemed like a very awkward individual who couldn’t hold a regular conversation to save his life. I felt like I was speaking to a child in a classroom that didn’t want to be in school. Poor guy.
Not only that, but there’s a former post that was made that is very close to how I was dressed despite others being dressed much more revealingly. This place is a circus.

I love this place but I suggest a push door for the men's bathroom. I can literally see them peeing from the bathroom hallway. Other than that, I love the bartenders and the service. Pat is my favorite.

I recently visited this bar with some friends, and I was appalled by the discriminatory behavior we encountered. One of my friends, who happens to be gay, was told by security that he had "too much showing" and needed to cover up to be allowed entry. This was despite the fact that women, including myself, were allowed in wearing much more revealing outfits, and other men with similar attire faced no issues. The security staff was extremely rude and biased, clearly targeting my friend unfairly. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and discriminatory. If you're looking for a welcoming and inclusive environment, I would suggest avoiding this place.

Absolutely disgusting. Security was so rude to my friend and dress coded him for having an undershirt partially exposed under his button down and having some chains exposed. Meanwhile I was let it fine with my chain exposed and chest exposed under my button down. The people inside had plenty of chains exposed and were wearing less clothing than him.

Great little corner bar. Perfectly set with huge windows on one side open to the neighborhood, this place has a solid selection of reasonably priced beers on tap. It's a tad oddly configured, but stay on either side, and it's a nice experience with the various screens.

Quality spot with a quality staff. Great atmosphere in a well used space (inside Park Meigs Mall), with excellent TV accomodations for watching any sport. The classic pub vibes offered by Dead Red are a perfect addition to the neighborhood, and while there is no kitchen, there are plenty of offerings in area to check out before or after your drinks. Corner of Park and Meigs with plenty of options for street parking.
