Sadly in today’s world places like Dipisas are getting harder to come by. I found this gem of an establishment a couple years ago working downtown Rochester and the city is lucky to have them. Being a connoisseur of all things submarine sandwiches I can assure you that you WILL NOT find a better one ANYWHERE. Dosnt matter what you get as everything is beyond expectations. Hats of to Sal and his GREAT team (especially Amanda) for making our bellies full and satisfied. Be sure to order ahead or be there by 11:30-11:45 as they are usually lined up out the door at lunch hour.

Ordered the large bisteca genovese, which was fantastic. Deliciously fresh, toasted herb bread, and absolutely loaded with steak meat. Seriously loaded with meat, like you’re visiting your momma on the weekend, and she thinks you’re not eating enough and going hungry type of loaded. I’m a large man, and even having skipped breakfast, I couldn’t finish a large sub. Which made eating the leftover quarter sub a couple hours later even better. You could easily get two meals out of a large sub. 10/10 would recommend.

It's one of the best sandwiches your money can buy. You get what you pay for. They work so hard for the ppl who buy their food. Everything is truly above and beyond.

DiPisa sub shop is our go to lunch spot! Bread is always fresh, subs are fantastic! Sal and the staff are awesome. Never had a bad sandwich! My new kick is Sal's steak sub which is the bomb! And the tuna and American Assorted are delicious! They treat you like family! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great place at a great price! Great atmosphere, and very clean!!

I visit DiPisa nearly every day of the week! The staff is friendly and the food is great! And now that the ventilation has been fixed, it is much nicer to hang out in the store!

From the minute we walked through the door until we left, was a great experience. The staff and owner are super friendly and very welcoming. Most importantly the food (subs) were the best we’ve ever had. Best in Rochester!!! We will definitely be back very soon!

The wife and I were out walking, looking for somewhere to get lunch between conference sessions, when we stumbled upon DiPisa's and were pleasantly surprised. We squeezed in just before the lunch rush, which only started slowing down when we finished over a half hour later. The fresh-baked bread was delicious, and at first, I was annoyed by the price, but the portions of meat were massive and well worth it. (I almost couldn't finish the large, and if you've seen me eat, you know that's saying something). If you're in town for a conference on the river, it's definitely worth the walk (Don't catch an Uber. You'll want to burn off some of that sub so you don't fall asleep listening to the next speaker)

Our first visit to DiPisa but not our last! Maybe the best hot roast beef sub I’ve ever had. If you are not eating in get the roll toasted and au jus on the side. So delicious - the thinly sliced roast beef cooked and seasoned beautifully. The roll is so fresh and good!! 5 full stars!! 💖

Just had DiPisa cater a 16+ event for a utility company and the food was AMAZING. I was able to provide more than expected. Bread was made fresh, sandwiches packed with more than generous portions and everyone loved the food. DiPisas made me look like a hero in front of my colleagues. I cannot thank them enough for making this event a HUGE success and we will be back time and time again. Thank you Team DiPisa

Best Italian cold cuts of any sun shop in Rochester, prosciutto and capicolo like you’re in Italy. And they load them up with meat, great place.

I've never had a bad experience from Dipisa and I have been going for 8 years now. Amazing variety of unique specialty subs you won't find anywhere else.

Vegetarian options: Melanzane Vegetariano, my favorite vegetarian sandwich in Rochester. I add red sauce and Banana peppers.
