Loved the food, the service and it’s a fun place. A great selection of toppings. The meat sauce was great on the fries. Very reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong.
I lived in Rochester for 6 years and I can’t believe I missed this place while I was there. Stopped here during a recent visit and was blown away. They’re allegedly one of the “Top 10 Hot Dog Joints In America,” though I have not fact-checked that and I don’t plan to. True or not, the food is incredible. I’m particularly impressed by their commitment to having great vegetarian and vegan options. You don’t really see that at many hot dog joints. Don’t worry, meat lovers: they have everything you could possibly want. But they also have everything non-meat lovers could possibly want from a place like this. And it’s ALL delicious, meat and non-meat alike. It’s small. Seating and parking can be difficult if it’s busy. If it’s nice outside, the outdoor seating has a relaxing vibe. In my experience, the staff was as friendly and accommodating as their diverse menu. There are so many great places to get food in Rochester (probably the #1 thing I miss about living there). I’m glad I discovered this one I missed before and I’ve already recommended to others outside of this review where I recommend it to YOU.
Great variety of hotdog specials, reasonable prize, limited seating space, ok parking spot. Limited drinks. Good music.Hoping they'll have the "white hots" too.
What a great place! It’s a hole in the wall type of place that the locals go for a trash plate. We had a one meat plate (hotdog without a bun) with two sides (beans and slaw). Then they top this with their sauce and added onions/mustard and they created a great combo meal.
Nick Tahou’s is the original and only Garbage Plate. Anything else is a violation of the Trademark and a copycat.
I split a garbage plate and had a great time. The dining space is very small so that’s something to consider if you plan to stay and eat. It’s a lot of food for low price, highly recommend.
Ok so We heard this was the place for the garbage plate so we had to try. We’ve been to one other place for a garbage plate so we had something to compare it to. It was just ok for me…I feel like henrietta hots was better (flavor, options, and meat sauce). They don’t have ranch which I love for my potatoes of any kind so that was disappointing. We didn’t try the hot dogs so maybe we will have to give it another try for that.
Loved my dog! Being from the south, I got the southern hound dog with slaw and chilli (meat sauce) and sweet potato fries. Definitely recommend!
Goodass hotdog plates!!?
On one of my plates they didnt put ketchup, my fries were over cooked or cooked in old oil and I had about 13 fries on my plate literally, also they left the paper from in between the burgers in my plate

Do not order from this fake place!!!! Not covid safe. And are scamming the real dog town on monroe.
Best Garbage Plate in the world. While Nick’s is the original, this is a real tasty garbage plate. Their Mac Salad is full of flavor. Their potatoes are browned just right. We had both the cheeseburger and the Cajun dog. Both are excellent.
Great food, enjoyed the outside space but the table could have been cleaner. Plenty of social distancing.
Very good split-plate and I had a Chicago Bulldog - the plate was excellent, tasty and plentiful, the Bulldog was piled high with toppings, very good.
We ordered food from here and they sent us the wrong order. When we called to tell them this they hung up on us. We called three more times and were hung up on every single time. We called the person who’s order we received by mistake (their number was on the receipt) and she said that they were remaking her order, but we are still being hung up on every time we call. I’m furious and shocked by the customer service.
