This restaurant is closed permanently but this site is still available to take reservations!! We made a reservation and showed up to a closed restaurant! Please take this site down for Don Pedro.
This is the worse Mexican restaurant I have visited. I'm Latino and I will never ever, ever go back to this establishment. The 3" tacos were an embarrassment to native Mexican food. They advertised Taco Tuesday for $11.00 but they don't honor it as the waitress said that the site was not updated, false advertisement as its best. The only good thing was the margarita my wife had, she was enjoying her drink but besides that.... not good, the server was good, but I feel I wasted $80 dollars.
Had a reservation for 9:30. Friend lost her ID in the car so me and one party member went inside. Guy at front said we were late when we were in the 15 minute grace period still, and proceeded to tell us that we could sit at the bar and would not give us a table. We left after one drink because the drinks were not great either.
Everything was good. But this place has so much more potential. There needs to be more food options and also having food with sides. I ordered the Don Pedro tacos and they were ok. It was just 3 small tacos and no sides. Honestly the menu, and pricing, needs improvement.
THE worst experience of my life. This place is extremely overpriced and the food is bland. Had a reservation for 5:30, we were kicked out of our section by 6:45. The waitress "Emily" was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. We asked for the price of certain items and she said with an attitude "I don't know". She refused to provide us with any additional assistance. She treated us like we were bothering her. We asked to speak with a manager, when the manager arrived we asked why we were being kicked out, his response "You've been here too long" Excuse me? I've never been rushed out of an establishment before. The manager was useless and basically told us we had to move from the table we reserved. I asked for the owner's name and he said he could not give me that info. This place is racist and has TERRIBLE service. There was nothing done to rectify the situation, except to tell us to leave. I am extremely disappointed and WILL NEVER visit this place again. If you are a person of color DON'T EAT AT DON PEDRO.
Drinks are amazing!Food personally isn't worth the money, if your coming to have drinks and enjoy the atmosphere this is definitely a spot. I wish our server had a little more patience seeing that it was our first time there and we had questions. They ran out of menus and the service was pretty slow. Margaritas were worth the wait though.
Our waiter barely spoke to us. The food tasted okay but not worth the price at all. The tacos were tiny street taco size but cost like classic tacos and had barely anything except the pork. The drinks arrived in plastic cups and not once were our waters refilled. The decor is really nice but the service and food is meh.
Went with a few friends and we were all pleasantly surprised by our food. The guacamole and queso fundido were delicious and so was dinner. Everything was tasty and full of flavor! Service was a bit on the slow side but servers kept checking on us and the margaritas were really good. We'll definitely come back!
Although they seem to be trying, it feels like a night club that was never cleaned up, just turned over into a restaurant. The tables were dirty and uncomfortable and there was nothing done to them to look festive or inviting. The large patio could have been super cool but the garden had weeds everywhere and there was a big, full trash can we had to walk around to get to the tables. We weren't given silverware or napkins until after our main course came. The waiter, although friendly, did not know anything about the menu and kept having to double check. The food was tasty, but overpriced. I feel bad giving a bad review but we really love authentic Mexican food and wanted to like the place. Don Pedro's needs an intervention if its going to make it.
Food was great. Services was average at best. We stayed until late to listen to the DJ. Music was great but the later evening got to be too much. It was way to crowded and people there became very rowdy. I hope they are able to better control who enters - otherwise this will be another spot gone bad.

Would not return. Atmosphere and decor were great but drinks were awful (our group had to send 3 back over the course of the evening; I have never sent a drink back). Food was ok, under seasoned. I wanted to love Don Pedro but it was meh.
Amazing grace how sweet the sound…Food was sub par for a Spanish place. Add some seasoning…. I was over charged on drinks because the waitress didn’t say that the regular margs, 1/2 off special, ended at 7p (1st drinks before 7). I was underwhelmed by the stale chips & salsa that took forever to come out. One guest food didn’t arrive at the same time, or even close to it, so my enchiladas were cold. Other guests at my table ordered an app that came out after the main course. Also, no taco Tuesday special. I’m only giving the experience 2 stars because the decor was nice & that location on East&Alex should be filled.-Lastly when the waitress was told about the drink special mistake we only asked for the 1st round to be 1/2 off (reasonable). She came back with $5 off and not $6, 12 dollar drink. Not for nothing but at least get that right (prob the managers idea unless she didn’t actually tell him or her.)
Arrived at 6:00 on a Tuesday. At 6:30 the DJ started playing club music. It was deafening. Our server apologized repeatedly. Not sure if Don Pedro is trying to be a restaurant or a club. We will not be back.
Very disappointing evening that would have been a complete disaster if it wasn't for the manager getting involved. We waited an unacceptable amount of time for a server to come over (considering there were only 1 or 2 other tables) and after a hour, our chips, salsa, and guacamole still hadn't arrived. Server started off apologetic but then basically just ignored us. We eventually went to the manager as we didn't want to wait any longer and planned to leave but fortunately he was able to get the food delivered ASAP. Service then improved and food was fine but too pricey considering rice and beans are separate. People at the bar arrived way after us and were served their dinners before us. I understand that every is short on staff but communication is key. Sadly, we will not be back.
Went here for dinner. Even though there weren't many people there, service was slow, but that's a sign of the times, so I won't ding them for that. What I will ding them for is food that was only ok. At the prices they charge, I would have expected a higher quality, but everyone at the table agreed the food lacked flavor. I got the enchiladas with mole sauce and it was just...bland. I'd recommend coming here for drinks and maybe an appetizer as they have a really nice bar and outdoor patio, but if you want really good Mexican food, Rochester has better options and usually at a lower price.
