My wife and I stopped for lunch. Due to the current restrictions we were limited to takeout, and ate on a picnic table on the porch. We were the only patrons at the time. We shared a vegetarian plate and a side of dolma (stuffed grape leaves). The plate comprised Hummus, baba, falafel, tahini, and a lettuce salad. The menu confusingly describes this as gluten free, but also says that it includes pita bread. I think you have to request the pita bread, which we did, after realizing we hadn't been given any. The falafel were hot and crisp, with a light interior. Not greasy, overly fried or underdone. I liked all the accompanying sauces and found it hard to pick a favorite. The standout was the dolma, which had a spiced stuffing of rice, ground beef, tomatoes and "Egyptian spices." I don't know what's in those spices, but they added a dimension to these that set them apart from most dolma that I've had around here. This was a first-time visit, and a limited sampling of their offerings, but we both loved our food. Based on this visit, I give El Basha a "5."

I was very excited to try a new Mediterranean restaurant, but I was extremely disappointed with the food I ordered. The chicken kabob salad was tiny, the lettuce was wilted and there was ONE thin slice of a soggy tomato cut in half. Additionally, my only request was no cheese, and the salad was covered in feta, which I couldn't even get off. The Greek dressing was foul. The icing on the cake was the chicken, which was well below par. I ordered dolmades too, and I was given 3 crispy, bitter pieces. Think twice before ordering here, when you could go to Aladdin's and receive way more food that's actually good quality, thoroughly cooked, and not sloppily thrown together, for cheaper than this place.
