Our server Maya(sp?) was great. Checked back to make sure all was good, but not too much. Food came out quickly and was delicious and servings were huge. Why haven't we been back here sooner?
Delicious, authentic Italian - and we'll be back again! For parents of picky eaters, be aware that there are limited options with no formal kid menu. Mine did just fine with a basket of bread and pasta with marinara. ❤️
Mistakenly made reservations here vs ... SO THRILLED WE DID!!! The food was AMAZING!!! The service from Roberto was on point!! It's a hidden gem in Rochester for sure.... 👍🏼 YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE! We're coming back for sure!
Food and service were great! Upstairs table area got VERY hot though and we had to ask our server to turn off a heater directly blowing on our table. They need to work on a way to better circulate the air from the ovens that clearly rises and makes upstairs super warm.
Visiting from out of town just looked up restaurants and can't believe how much we lucked out! We absolutely loved it. Every ounce of food was gone- we loved everything we ordered especially the pizza. Ashley was a stellar waitress.
Food and atmosphere were great here! Loved the vibe and the service was very friendly and prompt. Upstairs seating is a little cramped especially if you're bigger people like my husband and I but we still enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes you get and everything tasted yummy. We got the Diavola pizza and the lamb meatloaf and both were delish. Would definitely return again a great little restaurant tucked away off of University!
This was our first time here. I have never heard of this restaurant. Great food, great service and loved atmosphere. Definitely will be back.
Wonderful experience! Great service and delicious food. It's a bit noisy but it is a small place.
Delicious, not your run of the mill Italian restaurant. Sweet atmosphere, too.
Food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal! Such a gorgeous spot. Our service was lacking though, not very communicative. We also had an automatic gratuity charge for only 5 people, not sure if that's the standard but we weren't told prior to and didn't see it on the menu anywhere. We also weren't told we couldn't split the check, not a problem but would've been nice to know before we ordered.

This was our second visit with friends. Our server was great but one thing that's been sadly consistent is the lack of flavor and excessive cheese. I know that may sound funny but it's so much that it takes over the rest of the ingredients and I felt like I was spooning cheese. Both times I also sent my cocktail back bc the smokiness was overbearing, almost stinky feet like. Probably won't be back.
A really cool restaurant with a great vibe. Nice beer on tap and wine selection. The food was outstanding as was the service from Ashley!. 100% a must go when I am in Rochester!. Full transparency, the restaurant was not very full.
Great atmosphere and food! Service was awesome! The only complaint is the noise level. Since the walls are brick and reflect all of the conversations going on, it makes it difficult to hear your server as well as your own conversation.
Fiamma is one of those places that you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in, no pretense, just a warm greeting in an eclectic setting. Service is great, you can tell the staff love it there ... But the food, the food is like no other ... the portions are ample, the prices are more than reasonable, and the quality and flavors are outstanding ... While they offer an array of delicious items for every palate, a must have, without a doubt is the pizza ... doesn't matter which one you get, just get one! They offer a large variety of red and white sauced flavor profiles ... but the star of the show is the dough ... it is light, airy and perfectly cooked ... the best I have had in upstate NY! Enjoy!
Food is shockingly good and never fails to impress. Grilled octopus with cannellini beans, mussels in diavoli-style sauce, other homemade pastas, 1000F oven-fired pizzas — Italian is not my favorite food category, but I would recommend Fiamma to anyone. Rochester has excellent Italian food, Fiamma is top 2-3. A little noisy, ambience and decor are a forced — faux oxidized copper, heavy dose of “this used to be an industrial space”-vibes with exposed brick and beams, etc. But I come here for the food and venue does not detract at all. Will 1000% go again and continue to recommend.
