The taste and quality of the food was very poor overall. We ordered Vietnamese vermicelli bowls and springs rolls. The prepackaged spring rolls fell apart upon opening. The vermicelli did not use the thin noodles, they were served in a pool of hot broth. The pork on mine was not Vietnamese style bbq, but Chinese style pork like you get strips of in wonton soup. Very little care was put into the food or quality.

I enjoy this place and all of the vegan options they have. My issue is their hours. It seems like I've called there a few times in the past few weeks and they were closed despite their hours on here saying they were open. I called today and the person who answered said they don't open until 4. Their hours on here say they have been open since 12. It's unreliable and has led me to going elsewhere.

I moved out of Rochester almost 2 years ago, but I still miss Flavors of Asia! It was one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester, and literally everything they made was delicious. The owners and everyone that worked there were really nice as well. I will definitely come back if I’m ever back in town!

Ordered the Vietnamese Vermicelli with Beef plus Hot and Sour Soup. First of all, they do not use vermicelli noodles, they use a thicker rice noodle and try to pass it off. This dish was very bland. The Hot and Sour soup mainly tasted of sesame oil, no hotness and definitely not sour. Do not recommend if you like good Asian food.

I used to love this place, but the quality of service has seriously declined. My group of three was very surprised when our waiter interrupted our conversation to suggest that we leave a 20% tip. I do hope that they hire more people like the lovely young lady who I've seen working at the front for 5+ years. Her friendly and welcoming attitude are very much "old Flavors of Asia." It's unfortunate to see how it has changed.

I love this little restaurant. Thai is the best public relations person there. She has a very engaging personality and is also an excellent waitress. I had the Pho with flank steak which is delicious. My guy had never been there many many times. He ordered Szechuan Beef which he raved about. He said he wants to make it one of our regular spots. I'm with him on that.

My friend and I just found out that they have changed ownership :(Things weren't the same as before. Their hot tea tasted water down. Not sure if it is the same tea at all.But their food is good. But as good as a take out Asian restaurant quality. Not the same the premium fine dine as it used to be. Their food came out fast which means everything wasn't make from scratch anymore.Their rice is not as soft nor fresh as it used to be. It tasted cheap.Their peanut sauce for their fresh spring roll doesn't taste fresh nor homemade. I would say it lacks of peanuts flavor compare to the original recipe. Tastes like it came out from a bottle. However, their spicy sauces like the chili oil and garlic chili was pretty good.I would say that's the only good thing I had. Overall, their food was good but not as a fine dine quality. If I want a takeout, this will be the perfect place to get.But if I'm looking for a fine dine Asian restaurant, this won't be it anymore.Covid and inflation is damaging the food industry. I feel like it not worth to eat out anymore these days. I would just cook myself for now own when all fine dine quality restaurants are all gone.

I normally eat here but it seems the quality went down, the sesame shrimp was soft and soggy, the rice tastes as if it's a day or two old, the food was not warm, asked for pad Thai to be spicy and it was just bland also very cold, I don't think I'll be ordering here again, too pricyey of a risk.

Flavors of Asia used to be my favorite restaurant. That was back when it was the original owner and it won Best of Rochester a few times. Each time it's changed owners the food quality went down a little bit. A few owners later and the food is good but not great. The service is always WONDERFUL! My recent problem has been with the hours. Two or three times I've come in for lunch and it's been closed. I've come in around noon and end up pulling on a locked door with a sign that say they open at 11:00 am. It also says they are closed from 3 - 4, reopening at 4. Today we showed up at 2:33 and they told me they're closed from 3 - 4. I thought, but it's not 3, it's not 2:55. It's not 2:45. It's not even 2:35. We drove by numerous restaurants to get there only to turn around and go back to one we passed. Unfortunately that was the last wild goose chase I was going to let them send me on. The serving staff is GREAT! The food is good (not great). The management needs to get it together.

This used to be our go to place for Asian cuisine but after three tries we have yet to complete an order with this place through GrubHub and each time it took them at least a half hour to forty five minutes to let us know they couldn't fill our order! Last time we tried the dining room( on a weekend) they posted a sign on the door stating they were closed ! Three strikes and now they are out, of our restaurants list!

Okay, here we go:We were excited to see our neighborhood asian restaurant finally (re)open for dine-in service and figured the lack of customers seen inside was because of slow word of mouth. It probably is because it has gone down hill yet again. First owners were the best; all successors have diminished that successfulness. It was short-staffed, especially since take-away orders were (still?) brisk, so be prepared.Venue:Employees should be aware of the customer environment. A chilly Labor Day Sunday should not have a fan sucking cool air into the dining area. Add more lighting, or at least turn on all the available lighting. (We saw one table using their phone flashlights to see.)Staff:Two on the front end for the entire place, with no cross training (and online orders still coming in), tests the patience of all dine-in customers.Waitress was friendly but seemed new to being a server. Many: flubs, wasted trips, and over-promising each order arrival time to every table. (Please buy new supportive shoes/sneakers.)Counter dude seemed okay but kept running out and in of the restaurant (why, for change, smokes, a tattoo?) and needs to realize customers can hear everything he says as well as that incessant online order chiming. He should help seat, take care of cheques, and clear/clean tables when not busy ... and leave food to the server.Food:Fried eggplant app was nearly a dollar per piece for five, small pieces! They're still using the same dishes, so, when we're accustomed to a mound of food, half that at now double the original price is shocking.Gaeng phao came out a dry panang. Only plus was the server brought a side of the correct sauce (but I got one hell of an MSG headache afterward).Management:Please remove the "fried" option to the side of rice for main entrees. We know it's a great way to get rid of old rice, but the regular fried rice entrees can take care of that and there's been too much confusion for too long over old rice, slight colored, with absolutely nothing else in it. It'll save the server 4 minutes at each table explaining it and another 3 minutes apologizing to every person getting it.Speaking of saving time, servers should not automatically make a special trip to bring extra plates to every table; unnecessary ... and the dish washer will thank you. Servers should instead spend a moment to ask if customers want the pho side dish of basil, bean sprouts, limes, etc. (We saw several customers not even touch theirs; what food-waste!)Lastly, website states a South Wedge location; your business is in the Highland Park neighborhood.Summary:We'd like to have the old FoA back in our hood, but the current iteration is currently just okay for take-away. They may be trying ... but must do a lot better, so think twice before dining-in right now.

Very disappointing. Chicken basil hardly had any chicken in it. Fried egg roll wasn't crisp. I ordered take out and waited to cash out for 5 minuets.Very marginal.

They have their salt and pepper tofu back! I haven't been there in a couple years because of this.Very nice staff and prices are normal "Rochester Market" prices
