Fridays are Latin night

"Turn down the gay" isn't the correct way to approach taking over an established business. The free market has commenced its work on this place. :)

Tilt is no longer a gay club, they recently got new management who have already initiated homophobic policies. The now have bathroom attendants who have used anti-gay insults, and they fired all of their talented drag queen and kings and will no longer be hosting drag shows. They also fired many of their original staff (mainly LGBT). They also have a creepy new age policy, 18+ for women but 21+ for men. That's just encourages predatory behavior. Do not spend your money at Tilt if you care about the LGBT community.

No longer a safe space for the LGBT community that it was before the new owners came in. There are so many better places in Rochester to spend your money and time.

A Tilt employee told a friend of mine to "tone down the gay" while at Tilt. Tilt management has not apologized or said that they disagreed with that employee's actions. I will never go back to that homophobic venue. If you're looking to go out in Rochester, I recommend any other bar above this one.

So fun! They even have nights for those under 21. Bartenders and drag queens are nice. Good music and a good time.

Went to tilt and the bouncer stated "it's Latino night, are you sure you want to go in? There are no drag shows". He then denied me because I said I was offended by that. His response was "I'm going to have to ask you to go somewhere else. I don't like that you're accusing me of profiling".

According to Facebook tonight is Latin night at a gay club called tilt. Got here, went through ridiculous security, she grabbed my penis and apologized during the frisking. We paid $20 to get in. We feel out of place. We go to the lesbian bartender and she says "tonight's straight Latin night, you should go to this other bar" wtf, really? We wasted $20 to get into a ghetto straight club where security grabbed my dick. I'm never coming here again! Thanks but no thanks!!!!

The music and DJs are great. Multiple dance floors and outdoor access allow for different music/scene if you're not feeling the current song. The place is always clean, and I love the safety of the parking lot fenced in with the club. Its large area gives plenty of space to dance. By far the best night club in Rochester!!

Bartenders and bouncers are very unprofessional and seem to think they are on a power trip. They kicked me and my friends out because I "washed the X's off of my hands." The washed-up bouncer at the door claimed that the Sharpie on her hands from two days ago was still perfectly visible even after she had taken her six kids to the community pool. I'm sorry that the bouncers at this club have never heard of soap. Maybe they should try some before questioning how fast their so-called "permanent marker" rubs off of people's skin. Try hiring some people who haven't been bullied as children and don't feel the need to have a job that allows them to have power over others to justify their existence. May I recommend any other club or bar on Alexander or East instead? Save yourself a painful night full of outdated music, cacophonous transitions, and mediocre drag shows and go have fun anywhere else instead.

The door staff was quite racist towards our friend of Asian descent. She accidentally washed the x'es off of her hands and they kicked us out then cussed us out on the curb. If you're going for the drinks I would suggest instead something off of East or Alexander which have more professional staff and a more mature clientele. Would give less stars it possible.

Racist bouncers and not fun regardless. Weak drinks. Crowd tends to be rowdy and aggressive.

Only been here once but my experience was great, they accept card for cover but it has to be a minimal 10 dollars and the cover is 5 dollars. If you go in before 11, it's free usually. The club has 3 different area. One is near the front, but when I went, it was close off. The dance floor is huge. There is a bar outside area and it's so gorgeous! Plus it's not loud from the music so you can talk to other people. We went on a Saturday and the drag show was good! There is two sets and since it was only 4 queens, the show itself is short but still good. The best part about it is the EMPANADAS inside the club. Oh my god. Cheap food inside the club. Perfect for when you're hungry from dancing too much. Overall, great club in Rochester. However, since I only been here once, I'm not sure how the other days are but I would totally come back to update my review.

So let's start with the basics. This establishment calls itself a club, but if you've ever been to an actual night club you'll get it. Every 18 year old on Yelp I'm sure will be like 'OMG that's so stupid. This place is amazing!!!' and truthfully, if it were the only place I could get into before turning 21 I would feel the same way... The drinks are insanely over-priced, even by European standards. The venue is decent and the music is the same every single week. The mixes I've heard literally have not changed in five years. Nothing wrong with a little repeat love but a year is pushing it, two is completely overboard. The service honestly isn't bad depending on the night. It's odd because in this place the bartenders take their time but in other places the exact same guys are speedy as hell. It's just bizarre that I could run circles around them here of all places, where they're expected to serve volume. The staff at the door isn't bad but often the line is longer than it needs to be for appearance, the cover is paying the light bill here. They ID and take your photo upon entry, no hats, no scarves, no plain white Tees apparently (which I thought we collectively agreed to stop doing after the last Calvin Klein campaign) and fierce restrictions on identification. It's all bizarre. I recommend you check out the patio or the second bar/lounge... on the ONE day it's open per year.

Last night was the first time going and never again. The credit card machine was down and my friend was using a credit card to pay. I was not allowed to leave the bar until the debt was paid. WHY I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE I HAD NO TAB. They told us we had to get money out of the ATM, well my friend with the tab's credit card is not an ATM card. I had to front the cash for a tab that wasn't mine. When I went up the the bar the bartender said my friend owed $30 for 3 well drinks. I'm sorry but no. I will never come here again or tip these people They are rude and basically held me hostage for a tab that wasn't mine to pay. I understand if your credit card machine is down, but figure it out. worst night out i have ever had. Feel bad too because the drag show was good.
