The food was wonderful and the staff was so friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to try. We happened upon this restaurant on a whim, and both my husband and I agreed it would be worth the drive from Buffalo to come back and try some of their food.

One of my favorite places to eat in Rochester. Cooking is like at home. It’s a must!

Ordered food from here, it was all very good. I especially liked the borscht and the varenyky. Their mushroom sauce is also amazing! I really appreciate how well they package everything too. They wrapped my soups up well, and put utensils and a whole bunch of napkins in the bags. A lot of places won’t even give you a fork anymore.
Update: Over a year later and I’m still ordering from them regularly! They’re wonderful people. On my last order they gave me a free gift, which was sweet and completely unexpected! I’d never tried the dish before but it was great (last 2 pics).. I’ve really never had any food from Galicia that wasn’t incredible.

Awesome Food! Homemade Cooking. Highly Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Delightful from start to finish. Lovely ambience. A hidden gem. A little pricey but eminently worth it. Definitely adding this to our list of date night destinations.

From our first appetizer to our final desserts, everything was wonderful. Cannot say enough good things. The food is fresh and delicious, and definitely made from scratch. We tried to get into the former downtown location, but it was packed. I’m glad that they have a larger space. It is definitely worth the drive. Please support this family business! Order borscht, dumplings, potato pancakes, homemade cheesecake, and the Ukrainian cakes. And don’t forget the homemade sausages. (The four of us sampled liberally from the entire menu.).

Delicious food, amazing service, and beautiful location. So glad we found this place online. A short drive just outside of Rochester and totally worth it. Thank you!

I finally got around to trying Galicia in Spencerport and it absolutely lived up to the praise. The Chicken Kyiv was perfectly crisp outside with that rich, buttery center inside. I also ordered the Gastronomic potato pancake plate, which came with a variety of styles and delicious dipping sauces—each one crispy, hearty, and full of flavor. Portions were generous, presentation was spot on, and the service was warm and attentive. Authentic Ukrainian food done right.

Incredible food and friendly attentive staff! Waiter was so friendly and helpful, happy to explain anything on the menu. We had the potato and mushroom varenyky, pan seared steak with garlic butter, and the sausage duo. Everything was perfect. Filling, comforting, and fresh. Steak was juicy and tender. We wanted to try the desserts but we're too full from the meal. Will def be back to try more on the menu!

Went here randomly for lunch based on reviews and the amazing pictures. Was not disappointed. We ordered the Ukrainian Tendernesse, Bograch, and Varenyky. The presentation was fantastic. The Varenyky were very clearly hand made and a generous portion, the chicken was cooked perfectly with a savory and sweet plum based sauce, and the Bograch beef stew was perfectly tender and seasoned. Our server was excellent and attentive even though we were the only ones there. I’d definitely recommend to anyone. My only criticism was the location - it is a restaurant attached to a public golf course. It seems like their old location was more cozy/intimate but I can understand the move for space concerns - but it was a slightly odd experience.
