Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

My anticipation for a decent meal at this Golden Corral quickly dissolved into utter dismay. Upon entering, the absence of ice was immediately apparent, forcing us to settle for tepid, strangely flavored sodas and tea. This was just the beginning of a series of bizarre and unsettling issues. We soon discovered another fundamental problem: a complete lack of forks. We were left to navigate our entire meal, including fried fish that resembled and tasted like brown hockey pucks, with spoons – an awkward and frankly, absurd endeavor.

The food itself was a profound disappointment, far below the standards of any Golden Corral I've visited. Trays were either empty or filled with food that appeared to have languished for hours, if not days. Dishes were either severely overcooked and dry, or alarmingly undercooked and watery. The overall quality was shockingly poor.

Adding to the unpleasantness was the chaotic atmosphere. Children and adults alike were handling food with their bare hands, dropping it on the floor, and running rampant. The few staff members present were clearly overwhelmed, struggling to manage the sheer volume of customers and the escalating disarray.

This experience was so profoundly negative that I genuinely questioned whether this was a legitimate Golden Corral. The sheer level of incompetence and disregard for basic standards was astounding. To charge $28 per person for this abysmal meal and ice-less drink felt not only exorbitant but also deeply insulting.

While some might consider my reaction hyperbolic, this dining experience was truly nightmarish. It has cemented itself as the worst restaurant visit of my life, surpassing even the lowest of expectations. I strongly believe this establishment warrants serious investigation, perhaps even by the health department, for the egregious conditions it presents. I present no photos of the facility simply because I have no desire to sicken the readers of this review. The only positive I can come up with is that we escaped with our lives, and have since suffered no apparent acute ailments from our visit. If I could award some amount of negative stars, I would. Please stay outside of a 100-foot radius of this horrible, horrible place.

I went to this place to take my mother in law and wife along with our daughter to eat and have lunch and upon realizing the prices I figured it would be good... OMG the worst food I have eaten since being in Rochester coming from Florida I expected that this Golden Corral would be up to standards just as the previous ones I visited, however our experience was awful the food disgusting and I kid u not both me and my daughter saw 2 rats running by the bathroom area we immediately left. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I'm not sure what to even say about this place other than the fact that it looked and smelled like it belonged in a walking dead episode....
I mean the servers walk around like zombies no expression of any kind as if all hope for a good paying job just jumped out the window and now there stuck on welfare....
It was dirty as a Lyell ave trash can,I mean I've seen cleaner crack houses...
The food tasted as if it was cooked in an easy bake oven from the 80's......
Bet the roaches are eating good though.

The plates look like they never was washed had food all in them the food was hot and fresh the servers did not come to our table to refil our drinks at all

The food is pretty good there I drove from Niagara falls to Rochester, the staff is friendly

The food was excellent for a family, was there for lunch and it was very busy, but we had an excellent waitress who attended us well!!! Makes a big difference, hopefully she gets a raise!👍🏼( Regretfully we didn't get her name, but we're sitting at the back corner near the window, beside the reserved rooms, she was blonde.
The lack of a star, was because of another woman,( I'm for babies!) but dear me, she was very far along and dressed showing 1/2 her stomach 🤮 beside lacking obvious professional touch, there's more.... She came over and stood beside us/ belly hanging out, no name tag or attire saying waitress, NO GLOVES, asking for our dirty used glasses???? I'll wager these are the same people who threw a fit about unmasked healthy people during COVID.... But will pass on germs, whatever, freely due to regular unsanitary bad habits!!!!! Please just go home

I have always loved the Golden Corral but the last two times in the past year has been horrible. We paid a lot for the dinner buffet with the understanding of unlimited fried shrimp. When we did our first round there was no fried shrimp( 6pm) so we decided to ask and said it was being cooked. Around 10 min later I walked up to see it still empty. We didn't even get one thing of shrimp that night. So these unlimited shrimp commercials may be true for some restaurants but this one, either they only cook a little at a time or none at all to save money. If you say unlimited and know your busy have two huge trays available for everyone and keep up with the demand or don't charge a dinner price.

Food had hair in it, floor dirty, unclean counters, plates and silverware were dirty. Drinks had some foreign debris floating in it. Several food items were either overcooked or undercooked. Dirty and unclean buffet area. Very bad dining experience for our family.A real loss of money!!!

Came in at opening. Not crowded waitress spent whole time talking to people at 1 table waiting for drnk refill she never came by my friend took. Y cup and refilled.not very professional service. Food was good.
