My mother adores this shop and has been a loyal customer for years. She typically buys her fish from the woman who works there. Even though we have moved far away, my mother insisted that we drive 30 minutes just to get fish from this store. Unfortunately, today there were young men working at the counter, and they were not friendly or welcoming. When you request an item that is clearly visible, they go to the back room to retrieve it. The fish appears frozen and not as fresh as the ones on display. We will be purchasing from Restaurant Depot and BJ's from now on.

Excellent prices. They carry some excellent products. I bought some of their wild Caught Mexican ShrimpParadise brand. Great flavor and better priced than many of the supermarket ls carrying shrimp in the area. Good price on their frozen King crab too.

I Called asked for the price of a type of fish and a rude lady said we dont give prices over the phone and hung up on me. Crazy.

Good food, a lil pricey but the fish is fresh, no pun intended. I'd buy here again.

This fish market was recommended to me by a friend and I can't stop thanking her enough! The market is clean and the products look super fresh. The attendant was very helpful and made wonderful suggestions. I prepared a seafood feast for friends and family and everyone loved everything. If you want fresh, great tasting seafood I highly recommend you shop here. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the seafood or the service.

I would like to leave a good review for this place because the 2 gentlemen working the public market appear to care and appear to be knowledgeable. However, we bought 2 dozen oysters, 12 PEI and 12 kumomoto. Of those 2 dozen, 1 dozen was bad. Not somewhat smelly, but incredibly bad. Literally smelled like sewer. I called the shop and the lady told me that she was not responsible for the public market despite being the same company. Makes no sense. As a result, I can't support this company and can not recommend them. Reading through the reviews, there appears to be a quality issue that the owners attempt to explain away. Good fish is good fish. Bad fish is horrible and a health risk. Be cautious when buying here.

Horrible customer service . I am having a seafood feast for 20 people . Went to spend $500 on lobster tails . Women was so rude I went to the fish market on west main. They were cheaper and looked way than what she was selling ! Her rudeness worked to my Benefit

I haven't been there in a few months, but I love they're haddock fish, the haddock fish big and you can cut them into three pieces and put them in ziploc bags.

These folks are the first booth on the left as you enter the enclosed part of the Public Market from the Railroad Street entrance. Clean, well stocked, and they Love to talk about oysters. They have lots of seafood, all superior, but they excel at oysters -- size, varieties, information. I did not used to go there but I heard they were good, and they are. I never went to the North St store, and the Public Market booth I think is on Saturdays, but that works for me.
