Really good, barista Cortado coffee. Smooth, creamy and very delicious!

everything i’ve ever gotten at happy gut has been amazing. vegan miso and vegan dumplings today, and a black and mild latte. absolutely unreal. super chill place too. probably my favorite spot for food/drinks.

I went there with my book group and discovered that it is the old Fina's location. I hadn't been on Mill Street since 2011 but now Happy Gut Sanctuary is my new happy place. The winter spice tea is perfect for the season. I also had the shoyu ramen with the egg, which I enjoyed while reading upstairs.

I really enjoyed the space it was a low key, laid back, welcoming down to earth environment. It felt very cozy inside. The cold noodle was so delicious it was my first time trying cold noodles and I am in love! The veggie gyoza was okay. . . I wouldn’t order it again. The Shakita espresso was tasty not my usual style of cafe, so I’m sure my bias would affect my rating. Anywho loved the location, loved the service and the atmosphere. I intend to return often 🩷

Great drinks, super kind staff. The drinks are a bit pricey but you can tell that they are good quality. I was a little disappointed when I got a special latte, because they didn’t fill the cup up all the way (for a 7.50 latte!) I’ve only had the miso ramen there, and it’s okay at best. The noodles were clumped together and the flavor is nothing special. Their breakfast sandwiches are decent. If you went there just to drink kombucha, I would give it 5 stars.

BLOWN AWAY! I’m hard to impress and this place absolutely did! We had the latte flight, spicy ramen, salmon fried rice, and kombucha! Everything was excellent! What impressed me the most, is their water, provided for free, was from a Berkey!! That is above and beyond! I left with no guilt of eating or drinking anything bad for me…it was all well thought-out and healthy, made from scratch! We will be back…their kombucha is better than any kombucha I’ve had, this being said, we’re military, and have had kombucha all over!

Happy Gut is a common lunch spot given that our office is right in the High Falls region. So far everything I've had there has been delicious, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their drinks and food.

However, the reason for my review is the current drink special called "Fireside Cider" ... It is absolutely fantastic.

If you like hot apple cider with a slight burn and kick at the end, this drink is for you. Local cider mixed with fresh squeezed ginger and lemon juice, some cinnamon and topped off with a hint of black pepper makes every sip full of flavor with a toasty finish.

I'd drink this thing every day. Great work!!

You must come here! Hidden gem! Everyone is so welcoming and sweet. The chai was so spicy and delicious. Parking is EASY and free on State St. during the weekdays. On weekends, parking garage is free as well as all metered parking. I’m definitely coming back. Also it’s peanut-free in case you have an allergy! Go to Happy Gut! You will be hooked :)

I sadly cannot give this place a good rating for the horrible ramen that my friend and I had.We came here specifically for ramen and we both had probably the worst ramen we’ve ever tasted. The broth ruined the experience for us. It was soo so bland. Tasted like water, with no trace of salt or any flavor at all. I even went down to ask for some soy sauce to add to it, which wasn’t enough to save it lol. We probably should have told the staff that we were really unhappy with it, but alas. The rest of the ramen components were good but overshadowed by that broth! The ramen was also served in a plastic bowl which we thought was strange for the price. I also had the black sesame latte which was just ok, the sesame was not very flavorful and it was very diluted by the milk.I give this an extra star for the cool setting of this place and the cute barista with the cool hair. However, we will not be back, for that ramen was truly unacceptable.
