My wife and I had a great lunch date here!?Very good food, good vegan options, and great kombucha on tap (we did a kombucha flight)They also have REALLY fresh and delicious gluten-free treats and a cute shop selling Japanese-inspires wares, and metalwork art. Will certainly visit again!⭐Dietary restrictions: Few meal options for strict gluten-free (i.e. celiac) needs. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

I know people who love this place but I'm not sure why. The chi latte is forgettable -- I appreciate that brewed chi is more subtle, but the milk completely overwhelmed the faint trace of chi spice. The grilled cheese came on flimsy white bread, the macaroni salad was so underdressed it was hard to get down. The staff was lovely, the atmosphere pleasant (in that minimalist, plant filled kind of way).

This is at location 3.0. The partnership between Happy Gut & Roc City Ramen is stellar. I hope that lasts. The pairing of the fermented tea with ramen is made with love on both parts. If I’m ever on that side of the city, I know where I’m throwing my dollars ? Give me Laxmi or Give me DeathParking: You can park on the street for a free 15min session or the parking garage next door is very convenient. There is free parking there on the weekends.

Just moved to new location on Mill Street. The new layout is absolutely totally relaxing, elegant and restorative. I highly suggest if you are looking for a first date place to meet somebody or just some place to chill out and relax while you contemplate the universe- happy gut sanctuary is your Jam.

Excellent counter beverages and baked goods from the case. Full kitchen service is coming soon. Keep an eye on this space. Natural light and well-considered interior design make it a sanctuary.

Another Rochester gem. This place is pretty unique-- a cafe devoted to kombucha, plants, vegan food, and items like tea eggs, kimchi, cold noodles, as well as limited speciality dishes and collaborations. We have tried a variety of items during our visits here, and enjoy all of their speciality and limited time drinks and foods. The tea egg is a must try. If you want to get the full experience, get a kombucha flight so you can try multiple options. Then, you can buy a whole jug of it. Staff are so kind, and service is excellent. The location is beautiful and calming, with so many plants, a trendy neon sign, and a modern feel. It would be a great place to study for anyone who likes cafes to have a lot of plants and a bright atmosphere. I also think it's cool that you can see their kombucha fermenting through the glass near the kitchen. -- @cophiescrumbs on Instagram

stopped in on a rainy sunday right before they closed. really wanted to try the flight of coffees but it was a bit late in the day for me to have coffee. after mentioning this to the barista waiting on me, he mentioned that he can use decaf beans. i was like hell to the yes! the flight comes out. ran through the flavors. my favs in order were lavender, maple, vanilla, rosemary. the coffee itself was rich and smooth. if i'm ever in the rochester area this will be a must stop.

A must visit for kombucha lovers. The teas are complex and low in sugar. Some of the best kombucha I've ever had. I tried a flight and my favorite was the Holy Basil and Amaterasu. I came back the next day and enjoyed the noodles, pickled cabbage, and tea egg for lunch. Tried another flight and enjoyed the Chimera and Dragon's Nectar.

Need a pick me up ? Here it is! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with calming yet energizing visuals. Green plants, welcoming seating, lots of space / not cramped, light yet calm. The person at the counter was patient and helpful. What stood out to me was how each customer was given their full attention. The kombucha samples convinced me to walk away with more goodies than I might have otherwise. Although we didn't get food this time, the offerings looked very tempting. Will return.

My literal favorite place in Rochester, probably New York State, possibly the US.I didn’t live here when they had their first store front, but the Hungerford location has truly been a sanctuary for me the past 3 years. Part of me is sad that they are moving because I have come so attached to the look of their tea bar and café here, but I have all the faith that Catt and Rob will recreate (if not somehow improve) the things that made Sanctuary 2.0 so special. They have perfected their tea ferments, specialty/signature drinks, food and dessert items, and a genuine and genuinely warm relationship between servers and community members stopping in.I could never pick a favorite tea ferment, but these are must-tries: Jarl, Chiron, Amaterasu, and Tārā.

Recommended dishes: Croissant, Booch Float, Rooibos, Taiwanese Cold Noodles
