Really love Iron Tug’s beers have enjoyed them at bars around Rochester, and bought a mixed 4 pack when Reed White, and brew had an Iron Tug tasting. This place though kind of turned us off. Went in tonight, and it was busy. We were in what we thought was a line waiting for about 10 minutes. Lots of people were ordering flights and only 1 worker on a Friday night. I don’t mind waiting, but as we were waiting 2 rude people went up to one of the bar stools and asked the bar tender to get them a drink while he was making other people’s flights. He took their order over telling them “those people have been waiting in line and I have to get to them”. That is a huge turn off as a patron. If you’re going to roll with one bar tender on a Friday night there should really be a dedicated line system or the bartender really should let people who just try to order a drink know they need to wait for people who have been waiting 10 minutes. We left, went to Half Pint next door which was super busy, and got our order within minutes.

My wife and I usually go to this taproom once a month for the fantastic beers, and the service has always been great. It has been our go-to stop before a dinner out in the city and we enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere. The recent expansion gave Iron Tug more room without losing its charm. This past weekend, we had out of town friends meet up with us there and we were so disappointed to see that the taproom is no longer warm and has lost some of its character. Feels a little cheesy inside now and the lights of a game sucked some of the warmth out of the room. We will probably come back again when we can sit outdoors and enjoy that area, but hoping they don't make too many more changes, since the beer is great and the bartenders are friendly.Update- stopped in this past weekendon a Saturday. Bartenders were great- a guy and a gal who were both super friendly and offered good conversation. Still not sure how the original room hasn't been updated to maintain the coziness and comfortability of the place. At least the beers were good and the bartenders were awesome. I'll be back again once the weather improves and they get the live music back.

Cannot say enough about our experience here, our entire family of 12 plus 4 friends invaded this brewery on Saturday and they could not do enough to accommodate us! Food, beer, atmosphere all great, super helpful, played darts, watched basketball, enjoyed a great afternoon with family and friends, thank you!!

horrible service. nasty and suspicious. shouldn't have bothered tipping, but seemed I was overtaxing them.
Great vibes, amazing brews!
