We had the rehersal dinner for our son and his fiance at the Jetty at the Port. The setting was beautiful. Nicki and her crew were working very hard. Unfortunately, we ran out of food before all of the guests were served and satisfied. The amount of food needed was underestimated. We ordered a taco bar and the food was average at best. We took into consideration that the Jetty has just recently re-opened and that 3 extra guests showed up. However, several guests were vegetarians and we still ran out of meat at the taco bar. The price was also high for a taco bar, so we felt that, for the price, there should have been more than enough. There were many fees (room rental, bar set up, etc) that really drove the price up also, so it is important that the contract is clearly explained and guests are made aware of all of these extra costs well ahead of time. Probably the biggest disappointment was that we were given the owner's number so that we could discuss our issues with him directly, and he has not returned our calls/messages. Following up and offering us some kind of apology and compensation would have made a big difference in our opinion. Hopefully, the Jetty will take our review as constructive criticism because it really is a beautiful setting.

We enjoyed sitting outside and the view. Cocktails are very reasonable. Food was easy to get by ordering at the bar. Empanadas were ok but reasonably priced. I would say go for the drinks and atmosphere and add food if you want to munch without high expectations!

We decided to have lunch at lake Ontario today. Unfortunately we went to the Jetty at the Port. I had tuna sliders with fries. Each slider was supposed to have lettuce and a cucumber. What I received was 3 sliders, stale rolls, tuna floating in a gob of mayo, 2 tiny little wilted pieces of greens on each and a cucumber slice. I scraped everything off the rolls and ate 1/2 of it. At least the fires were edible. My wife ordered the rice and beans platter FOR $!6.00. She received a plate with 2 rectangular shaped cardboard french fry containers. One had a scoop of white wirce with 12 red beans on top. The other had 3 round fried slices of something. She put some hot sauce from a bottle on it. Why do people think they can own and run a restaurant when apparently they have never visited one. We spent $40.00 on a horrible lunch, very poor quality and in one instance a so-called platter that was barely an appetizer portion. To make matters worse the restaurant and out side dining area was filthy and I am certain the carpeting on the inside has not been vacuumed or shampooed in many years. What a shame water front location, boats passing by, great weather and a pitiful excuse for food. Clearly this place will be out of business shortly.

What an amazing rooftop, waterfront space! The food from Mrs. D’s Empanadas was spectacular and the view can not be beaten! Highly recommend the tostones nachos!

One of my favorite restaurants! I am never disappointed by the excellent service and food that they serve. I love the waterfront view and atmosphere.
Food was beyond amazing!!! Didn't care for the no table service because then unless paying together your food doesn't come out together. The food makes it worth it!!! Mrs.D's empanadas are by far the best!!
