Biggest complaint is the baguette... super tough, dry and quite thick so very difficult to eat as a sandwich. The chicken salad was dry - taste was ok. Hubby had ham and brie and he had the same complaint about the baguette. The service was pleasant. Worse thing you can say about a restaurant is "we won't be back!"

YUM!!! We tried to find this place one morning prior to a Drs. appointment, but my GPS was off. I did find it another day and was SOOO Glad I did. So much better then the other bagel place and we will return when we are in the area. Friendly staff too

Quick brunch with friends. Shaded outdoor seating. Great service! Great food! Reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

A local hidden gem that does a booming busines! Stumbled across JJ’s for breakfast. Tons of outdoor seating; many bring their pups. Food was generous, tasty, and fast. Clearly a local place, folks have been visiting for years, and everyone seems to know everyone. Welcoming and have gone back twice already. If you’re in the area - a must go!

From out of town and looking for a a quick lunch after horse back riding. Huge menu and inviting staff. Felt that my business was very much appreciated. Food was fresh and delicious

Very disappointing experience. Better corned beef next door at Safeway grocery store. That is a sad statement.

Started coming here two 1/2 years ago. This place has the best pastrami in the valley and when you put it on fresh rye with Monterey jack heaven is around the corner. They have a great breakfast menu and the multi grain bagel is yummy.

Badda bing badda bang. It's 87 degrees and it's time for lunch. I wasn't in the mood for something heavy since it was only getting hotter. Oh yeah a Jewish deli sounded good. Can't go wrong here. This place is clean and service is super friendly. I grabbed a menu and it took me about 15 minutes to decide what I wanted. I finally went for the standard Rueben with corned beef, sauerkraut, mustard and swiss on toasted rye bead. Instead of potato salad I asked for fried seasoned potatoes. My hubby ordered the bagel and lox. One of my kids orded the stuffed tomato with tuna and my other kid ordered a stuffed challah toast. Ohhhh..and don't forget the milkshakes. It think it took about 5 minutes and our food was already being served. Wow..talk about fast. Did I mention the servers were so friendly and on the ball? Oh yeah... I did... but seriously, those guys were awesome! All of the food looked and tasted wonderful. We were able to sit outside and have our dog with us since it was a pet friendly area. We also grabbed a few rugelach to go. We will be back.

This place has been a local staple for years, and it never disappoints! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, food is served quickly, and you can sit inside or outside normally. Everything is delicious, from the freshly made bagels, to the matzoh ball soup, to the BLT with goat cheese, tuna melt, potato salad, and much more. Wonderful spot for lunch!

My wife and I are locals and know this place well. Food and service is always very good. With things opening up during the Covid Flu we stopped in for breakfast on 5/13/20. We choose to sit outside on the patio as that would be safer. Disappointed to see the staff not wearing face coverings which is not good at all. As the result I can not give more than an average rating despite very good food and service.

Love the place from the first day it opened back in the early 90's. Sad that it is no longer open due to Ray passing away.

This place has great food. I look forward to every visit. The staff are enjoyable to be around and helpful. Above all, the owner is very approachable and he knows his customers and aims to please. Everyone is treated like they are long lost friends at this restaurant.

Love this place for breakfast. You can eat outside and bring your dog. The staff is really friendly. Good food. Larger servings. Really nice place.

Yes, it's a little pricey ($15 for a patty melt, chips and soda) but the portions are big and everything is well made. Nice, weather permitting, to sit outside with friendly service all around. Just know that you're going to have to pay more than a "fast food" lunch but why not treat yourself to something great?!

Local residents suggest this place to us during our visit. Staff here is very friendly and helpful. Four of us ordered breakfast and were served quickly. Oatmeal, eggs, bacon, blueberry pancakes-all great. Be sure to check out their bakery items as well, we bought scones to eat later and they were delicious! And get the loyalty card for return trips since this deli should be around a long time. We’ll definitely be back on future visits to Scottsdale.
