Very nice place on the side of the Artisan’s building. Don’t waste your money at the place across the street. These guys are the real deal. Coffee is smooth and delicious! Highly recommend!Parking: Lots of room for all the customers they are going to have stop!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in at ground level.

Excellent speciality coffee and has become my go-to roaster. I appreciate how they rotate their beans. Many roasters will use out of season beans, resulting in a stale cup. The beans are always roasted evenly and to perfection. I don't mind paying extra for ethically sourced, quality coffee.

Excellent coffee. Wish I lived closer, I'd come here more often

Myriad varieties of outstanding coffee that is roasted in house, and if that wasn’t enough they serve great coffee too. In my opinion, likely the best coffee available in Rochester. Overall, it’s a great local business.

Established roaster with high quality, single origin coffee.

Coffee is sour and watered down, no place to sit, no creamer out, no choice is size, you only get three choices on the menus, no cup holder for very hot coffee and no napkins. They charge 3.50 for a literal Dixie cup filled with coffee when you can pay 3.50 for a large at Starbucks across the street. The guy at the counter was lovely, that was about it.

The ambiance was industrial and somewhat hidden along the side of a large commercial looking building with a warehouse feel from the outside. There is parking out front if you drive along the side of the building past other businesses. The quality of the beans seems incredible, which is why I stopped in. Being a strong enthusiast of coffee, collecting beans in my travels around the country and the world to enjoy at my home, I have been in many coffee shops and to many roasters over the years. One of my favorite parts is connecting with others who also have a passion and appreciate the product. However, that is where my dissatisfaction lies for this business. My greeting was terse and my enthusiastic inquiries about the various beans was met with disengaged and pretentious replies that all of the beans were great. I realize this and that is why I was visiting. Despite multiple attempts to engage in conversation to learn more about the taste characteristics and growing regions, I continued to be met with dismissive comments or silence. Maybe I did not appear to be knowledgeable but I left feeling that I was not worthwhile to the staff member who was working when I visited. I would not return to give business when such poor service was provided during my visit. There are many specialty roasters in the country and world from whom I can enjoy both excellent beans and excellent service.

If you need whole bean coffee in the Rochester area, Joe Bean offers some of the best. They feature a seasonally rotating selection of directly sourced coffees, and tend towards a modern, light roast style. The store carries a small selection of Hario and Fellow brewing equipment. While not a full featured cafe, they have a little coffee counter where you can get an excellent drip coffee or espresso drink.

Your Whole Latte Love - Crema Wave is amazing! I've tasted hundred of coffee beans, nothing can compare! Very consistent over the years! Is there a similar blend that you sell at Joe Bean Roasters?

I think I really need to start a subscription from this place. I do wish they were open on weekends but I think they do that because of the location maybe. But the coffee from here is always excellent. The freshness of the beans are always ideal as I run a espresso machine at home.

The shop is more of a roaster and coffee equipment place but do have a limited selection of drinks that can be made. The beans are great and the employees are very knowledgeable on the whole process. Would recommend any coffee enthusiasts to go check it out.

It’s more of a commercial shop w/ a small section to order a cup of joe? No seating - unless I missed something entirely. Also, I don’t need my latte sweetened but the fact they did not have any to offer any was peculiar to me. The employee wasn’t too friendly either. I will say is was a well balanced & rounded latte though(:

I only went their once and was turned off by the uber snooty attitude of those who ran the place. I guess walking in with a McDonald's cup1/3 full and asking if they could fill it up might not have met their standards...ok, not really. I was there only once. Whenever this was, well over a year ago, maybe even 2, maybe 3 -- no not that many...hmmm -- oh gosh, who cares...... the one gal who I believe was one of the owners, had worked at, or run, a coffee shop in Webster, which I liked quite a bit, and visited often. This deal, however, had no such appeal. Unfortunately, a rotten lst experience is a lasting memory, and kinda eliminates the possibility of redemption.

Our favorite freshly roasted bright, light and medium roast beans. Really great flavors and unique combinations, friendly staff.
