They have all the fixins and everything I've tried has been great, and at a reasonable price too.Get there quick though... News says this place is closing soon...

Really great Mexican.Came in with some friends for dinner and had a great meal.Our server was great even though they were busy.It’s a very clean restaurant.Food was fantastic.I had their enchiladas (chicken) and it was awesome! The rest of our table had a variety of tacos and burritos and everything was really tasty. Their house margaritas are good, too.Overall a great meal, great service, great place!

Prices for everything aren't over inflated. Never had a bad dish nor experience here. Prefer to eat outside when possible. Can be hard to hear if seated by the bar. Great place overall.
Nice little dive. After our museum trip we were starving! Needed to find a place that offered vegan/vegetarian options and this fit the bill. Upon entering we were greeted by the bartender and then seated. Our server was super sweet and made sure our cups stayed full.I had the shrimp tacos, wife had the vegan Mexican plate, one kid had the enchiladas, one had the cheese quesadilla and the other had a beef quesadilla. As an appetizer we had the chips and salsa, We all really enjoyed them, they were seasoned and delicious and the salsa was a chunky obviously house made version. What was left my son ate with his quesadilla.
Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan “meats” and cheeses.
Parking: Parking is right beside the building.
Kid-friendliness: They don’t have a kid menu however they do have high chairs.

It is hard to find a quality Tex Mex place in NY, but look no further than John's Tex Mex. From experience with the real deal, this place is the real deal. :)

Passed by a few times as an Uber driver, thought the place seemed nice to try based off curb appeal, so I went with my partner and we were a little thrown off by the upstairs dining room, it's a slightly different feeling in the air then downstairs... To start, our server came off as a little egocentric. Almost a vibe of we should've researched the menu before coming but nonetheless, we ordered, wait wasn't too bad. Food came out and we weren't very pleased with the selection of ingredients, the cheese was just basic cheddar cheese, chicken portions were about what you'd get from a taco bell, nothing too special, honestly. Probably would be better after a few margaritas?

My wife and I were in Rochester for a conference and tried John’s Tex-Mex and they have really good Mexican food! We had the taco’s, chips with salsa and guacamole and few other dishes! Their original margaritas are legit! One will probably do it! Would highly recommend this place for Mexican food!
