Had our first date here when it was Basil's. This picture is from the last Saturday they were open. Chicken parmesan , gnocchi with vodka sauce. Salad bar. Everything we had was excellent. Quick service even though the place was packed. We sure hope they open another restaurant. This spot will become hi-rise apartments.

Not the best service, at least from the management perspective. The front line attention was really good. They are closing, anyway.

Amazing down to earth service, amazing!! homemade pasta (and calamari, bang bang shrimp & salad bar) .. All around of the only places in Rochester that reminds me of the simple Italian life. We'll be devastated to see it go!

We love it here! We always go with friends on a Friday or Saturday night & then eat ice cream after an already large & satisfying meal! Try the ice cream! It’s great!!

We went for Sunday brunch. The food was excellent. Several breakfast items on one side and lunch on the other. Salad bar in the center, with desserts, pizza and soups on either end. Waitress was pleasant and efficient. Drinks were bottomless with and extra charge, but the price was good for a buffet. Were were all very satisfied. A very good place for Sunday brunch.

If I could give 2.5 out of 5 I would.

Very good food and atmosphere. Bit odd that bread isnt included for the table and only comes with the additional priced salad bar. Gnocchi with meat sauce was great. Salad bar had basic but good selections. Breadsticks were bit dry and bland but the herb rolls were fresh and tasty.

Came here for the brunch and it was pretty great for my first time here. Got three plates and a dessert plate. Most of the food was sub par and the rest were pretty good. Plate 1: Sausage gravy over buiscuts, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, breakfast pasta, and broccoli salad. Eggs were fine, barely tasted any seasoning; potatoes were good; breakfast pasta was okay, tasted weird and fatty; sausage gravy was great, definitely recommend trying it with or without buiscuts; broccoli salad was amazing, got it two times, that's how good it was. Plate 2: Eggs Benedict, muscles, herb roasted chicken, pork stuffing, some sort of grits, and pizza. Eggs Benedict was great, perfectly poached and delicious holindase; chicken was dry; stuffing was sweet, just sweet, I don't know if it's me or they add some sort of sweetness to the stuffing; muscles were good, just didn't want to eat to much; pizza was fine, it was just cheese and mushrooms on hard bread, nothing special; grits were okay, not something I would come back for. Plate 3: Greens and Beans, Belgian Waffle, bacon, sausage links, and bread pudding. Waffle was great; bacon was great; sausage were pretty much the same kind of sausage you can get at a supermarket; bread pudding tasted like it came from a box, greens and beans tasted great. Dessert Plate: Lemon pudding, lemon bar, pineapple slices. Lemon pudding was good, lemon bar was good. Overall this was a great brunch for my first time. Definitely going to come back next time. I'd recommend coming in early when they are not busy on a Sunday.

As buffets go it was pretty good, buffet was standard for breakfast offerings and brunch was expectedly Italian centered. There were about equally numerous hot and cold offerings. There were intermittent lines but they moved quickly and the staff were good at keeping everything stocked. The mashed potatoes were a highlight as were the mussels. Low points were the alfredo which was pretty dry and "pork stuffing" that was pretty much stovetop.

We had 7 people in our party, 6 adults for the buffet. We were sat at a booth, which was not very conducive to people easily getting up and going to the buffet whenever they were ready. The food was okay. I wasn't expecting the elaborate spread they had at the old restaurant, but I was hoping the quality would still be as good. I was disappointed. The eggs Benedict was hard; the eggs and the muffins. The chicken was really dry. I did really like the French toast casserole and the mimosas though. I would like to give it another chance, but definitely do not want to go sit in a booth again with that many people.

30 years ago when they had the single location on East Ave, they were one of the few good Italian places in the city. I feel like everything since has been a dog and pony show for Italian food that doesn't want to offend anyone, but lacks on the major notes of Italian food.

We had a great experience at Marios. The food was excellent and the service was excellent by our waitress Brianna P. She was very professional and accommodating. Thank you for a great evening.
