Lovely place and delicious food. All the rolls are really fresh and the sashimi is the best in this city. Definitely wanna come back again!

Had dinner here, and the food exceeded our expectations. The sushi was fresh and delicate. The sauces added a unique and flavorful touch to each dish. The tempura's light, airy coating accented the natural taste of the ingredients. 10/10 recommend!!!

I love Maru! They have the absolute best ratio of fish to rice in town; not a bunch of empty calories and a great value for every roll. We have ordered about a half a dozen times and the fish is always fresh.

I have celiac disease and they are always accommodating of making things gluten free and changing ingredients where necessary. This is the only sushi restaurant in town that I feel safe to eat at and they have GF soy sauce.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and very good labeling/understanding of not mixing rolls if they are not allergen-free. Menu is labeled. GF soy sauce available.

The best sushi around! We only did pickup this time, but the inside is beautiful, the family is wonderful, and the food is off the map. Very friendly for folks with Celiac or GF needs! Will be back soon!

EXCELLENT!! I’ve had Kani salad many times the traditional boring way. There sweet potato kani salad w mango is out of this world. Chef gave us the left over miso soup for the night and again not just broth but chunks of tofu & greens. Beautiful sushi rolls, fresh & good. Must go again.

We love Maru. The fish is so fresh and the Poke bowls are very yummy. Try the house ginger dressing. Don’t forget a Taiyaki for dessert.

Very good sushi. Top 3 in the Rochester area. Super nice owners who were very fun to talk to. And VERY clean. Which is a must for me when looking for good sushi.

We saw how they cleaned at the end of the night. Extremely thorough. We’ll be back.

Our family of five went here to celebrate my birthday. The food was fantastic, the staff was so kind and helpful. They had the perfect balance of checking in, but allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. Our new favorite restaurant in Rochester.

Went for dinner and sat outside to enjoy the August weather. The menu prices are a bit high for sushi but their signature rolls were tasty and a good size. A little too much sauce (eel/ spicy mayo) but the fish was fresh. TNT roll $18, Al-valanche roll $17, California roll $6

I wish I had taken photos. I wish I had the talent to write poetry about the miso soup and sushi I had, it was THAT good. My server was friendly and helpful. I went in about 25 minutes before closing time (and slightly apologetic) and the staff assured me it was no trouble and did not rush me at all. There are Asian themed parasols (umbrellas) hanging from the ceiling, which added nice ambiance. Seriously. The miso was SO EFFING DELICIOUS.

Parking: Lots of available parking behind the Village Gate, and you can access the restaurant from inside the building or directly from the courtyard.

Kid-friendliness: There were several families with little kids when I visited.
